... and I can't help but feeling like I'm missing out on something great when I leave.... but I just can't seem to figure out what it is.

I know there's RvR and what-not. But the beginning game content that I've found so far seems very repetitious... taking instanced dungeon quests over and over.

I have to believe there's more to DAoC than just those early repeatable quests and RvR... but whether through my own intellectual density or perhaps because they're not well represented in the game, I'm completley missing out on the other activities there are to keep someone entertained on their way up.

I'm currently re-installing DAoC again for another round and I'm really hoping this time that it will "click" and I'll see what it is that has had so many players dedicated to it for so long.. both online and people I've spoken to personally. They speak of this game so fondly it's almost impossible to *not* want to try it..

I just want to know what I'm missing that's keeping the experience from being more "full"?

For the record, I've played other MMORPGs and was "addicted" to both Final Fantasy XI and Lineage II for a time.. a little over a year each. Each had that ambiguous "something" that got me hooked.. and I guess that's what I'm hoping to find in DAoC...

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

It all depends on what you are playing.  I will tell you your first mistake is doing the TD.  You need to go out and explore the world.  Go to the Catacombs zones.  I am not saying that is going to solve your problem, but it certainly gives you a different perspective than doing TD.
