Fellow Eve players, might I propose a small toast? To whom you might ask? To ourselves of course! We alone all the shining beacon of intelligence and rational thought of the cesspool we call "mmo gaming". Surely, you all must ask the same inquiries as I. "Why are we so much smarter than everyone else?" I don't know if its the daily discussion of quantum physics or the brilliant scholarly debates regarding dissonance in a socialist goverment, but I truly feel as though we are simply better than ever one else in existence. Excuse me while I finger my mustace.
Why, I once had someone tell me that holding a certain preference for a game (namely, not liking our's) doesn't have any connection to said person's intelligence in any way! Why, I was so shocked I droped my monocle into my tea. "Balderdash!" I shouted and shook my finger angrily. I'm sure the peasant got the message.
So, in conclusion, I offer this toast to you-my friends and colleagues, and most of all to Eve!

That kind of attitude makes other people hate eve players
I myself love EVE and wouldnt play any other MMO but those kind of posts are just asking to get flamed.
I have many rl friends that play WOW *shivers* but i do not look down on them or call them stupid its simply a matter of taste.

While that severe elitism does exist in EVE, and is deeply repulsive when I see it, every community in or out of MMOs have it's faults, often for which that community becomes infamous.
For WoW it's immaturity, for Lineage 2 it's ebaying, for PvE games it's carebears, for PvP games it's griefers. Even games that haven't been released yet have negative stereotypes.
So while these reputations didn't materilize out of thin air, anyone evaluating a community should keep in mind that the biggest asshole is usaully the one shouting the loudest. This phenomenon is greatly magnified when applied to the internet.
I'd admit I missed the sarcasm in the OP.

I'm not bashing Eve, as I've never played it, so have no right to judge it. I'm simply making fun of a SMALL PERCENTAGE of the Eve playerbase that seem to post on these forums. That's all. Let not all get rilled up. It's just a joke. Either laugh, or curse me for being completely unfunny.
Heh something tels me you would make a great corp mate. Sometimes a sence of humour goes down very well in eve.
