Originally posted by SnaKey Welcome to MMORPG.com where 99% of the users HATE WoW for many different and unique reasons!
My Reasons: -Dumbed down game. There is nothing to anything besides 1v1 PVP, but that's a joke see next reason. -No Real PVP. No Alignment. Where is this "War" they boast about? OHHHHH You mean that minigame. Ok. I c. -Crafting is a joke. This this this makes this, but you gotta make this first. Wow. Lots of innovation there. -There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING you or the entire Faction can do to have any lasting effects on the game. Ok, raid IF....... Then you leave. What happens then?
stfu! idiot wtf 99% of us hate wow? get ur facts right moron im not a fan of WoW but my friends do and Wow happens to be the most popular game out there even thought there are alot of haters aswell.
Blizzard made rts what it is today, and sold alot of games. That is all the praise I can give them. WoW is a decent enough game and a good introductory course for n00b mmorpg players, but I agree that along with the majority of the older playersthey will eventually hunger for something deeper.
It's better be hated for who you are, than loved for who you aren't.
I actually enjoyed WoW, but I guess it's a matter of playstyle. The leveling part and quests got old in a few weeks, but I really enjoyed the instance runs, and later on the raiding game. That's where the real fun was for me at least, being a socialiser who never PvPs. Instances can be challenging if you go with a group that isn't over-powered but in the end it was the raiding game that kept me playing. All games get boring in the end of course; in my case it finally became time to call it quits halfway through Naxxramas, but I might still go back for the expansion.
Many of the negative comments about WoW that I see in various threads here make me wonder though, they pretty much say WoW is the worst game they ever played, yet often admit that they played it for a year or more. That does after all prove beyond any doubt that at least for one year it was their best option. That's one year of fun which they would not have had without this game, no matter how stale it became in the end. :-)
That said, my best memories are still from SWG. The real problem with WoW is that at the end of the day it's just a game; SWG was a virtual world. Sure I was a member of lots of different guilds in both, sometimes small family guilds, sometimes the most organised and advanced raid guilds on the server, but ultimately WoW just never felt like it was more than a game like SWG did. I only logged in to raid, there was nothing else to do.

WoW poped my cherry and I lasted until my second tour trough MC... I just couldn't imagine myself going there again and again and again..... for more of the same in BWL, for more of the same in Naxx..... for more of the same in BC.... FOR MORE OF THE SAME!!!
BG's, although fun to some extent but it just seemed wrong in an game where 2 factions are at war and the prize for winning is some things....
Anyway, it just seems a litle silly debating WoW here when the whole MMORPG.com community is made of mere 432939 members and WoW has 7mil+ members (active or passive)

Just in the past year the game went from 7 000 000 users to 6970000 when they all were tired of such a horrible game and went to play the best game ever made EVE. WoW is literally on its knees right now ready to die. I predict that in the next 20 years the entire woW population will migrate from woW to EvE.
Ah my fellow resident troll -
Respect to you, but the fact is the WOW is losing customers.
Nothing really worrying (to blizzard) but out of desperation i tried playing WOW AGAIN month ago.
And withness with my own eyes that population halved to say at least. Also big number of people that still play are ready to jump the ship in the moment a new MMO comes out.
I mean MMO with same quality - not crap that apeals to minority of players like eve and sor
Really? thats odd, because Blizzard just recently announced 7 million subscribers, and its subscriber base never dropped ONCE. facts are facts.
lol wow this got crazy. Frist off I never said that WOW was a bad game or anything. IMO its the best out there at this time. I have been playing online since 94 and have been with many. what I was trying to figuer out was if anyone else felt the same about end game getting boring and I did. Never set out to BASH the game and im sure the 7+ mill players enjoy it. I still play but get bored about 30 mins after loggen on. That said thanks for the comments and enjoy what ever game fits you for the time it fits you for
