Lineage 2 - Beta and Pre-Order Question

I have a question and thought there was no better place to post than mmorpg.com.

It says:

"On Friday, Feb. 27th at 6:00pm PST, Bonus CD purchasers who have created PlayNC accounts will be allowed access into the Lineage II Closed Beta test program!" directly from Lineage2.com News.

Does this mean you had to have had a NC account created before that date to get in? Or can I stop by my local GameStop and purchase the pre-order box and use the Account Key on the back to create an account and then download the game and log in?

You can go out and pick it up right now. I did that last night.
