First off I want to say sorry for leaving like 5 posts within a days period and thank you to the people who replied.
Is it true that your charatcter can downgrade if you lose or die or go on certian missions...if so, why?

yes you can lose a level. you lose like 10% of your current amount to next level so if you need 3000xp to level and you die you lose 300xp if you have less than 300xp say 200xp when you die you drop a level and then need 100xp more to relevel. Barbaric isnt it.
