TO THE FORUM MODERATORS. (and cya all)

I started playing galaxies with beta, I left 3 months after NGE. After this I only played CoH for 2 months and after this I have no played any game. I just connect to internet after work for an hour or so to have a look at 2 forums;this is one and the other one is imperialcrackdown. why? Cause in some way with all the people here who miss the old times it is like getting back a liitle part of what we had before and an open door to hope.
I think everybody has the right to say whatever it wants as long as doing it in a polite way.
When the other day I logined this forum and saw the new section: Swg Veteran refugee,Swg Current with its Absolutely no trolling,......... first I thought was ' think i typed a wrong URL'
I thought about this for a moment and to tell you the truth and being sincere ,I had not had this feeling again since I posted in the SOE boards; it is like if I was said 'you,go to talk to that corner we dont like you to be seen here'
I think somebody was upset with the negative propaganda (''not the positive'') about swg and did this,
was it SOE black hand ,a NGE fanboy moderator or what?
why? does 'why' equal money?
why can somebody post good propaganda about NGE in other sections and I have to post bad propaganda here?
why have I to be clasified?
Im 35 years old and as I said before I think you can say anything as long as you be polite.
Im not a refugee nor an elder ,I an an ex SWG player who considers himself with the moral right to give an opinion,positive or negative without being clasified (forced) in a forum section.
Anyway it is your forum and you can do whatever you want with it,s(h)ame SOE did with its game.

That is not polite and is trolling. I guess it would be inappropriate to lie, so I will just be blunt. I will not miss you or your trollish posts.
I agree with what you said about stating what you want in a polite manner, but you were not polite there and neither are the people you said you like and agree with most of the time.
OK, this one bothers me... Mods, this is a bit of bull... He's clearly joking, and wasn't trolling the thread from what I can see here... this is uncalled for IMO. Both sides joke like this ALL the time, if it's appropriate or not... if he had done this several times in the thread, I could see taking this action, but not for saying one thing. If this was the standard, most posters would not be here now...
If you are truely leaving, Peace man... but I hope you stay. This was one incident... If we all left over one incident, this forum would be as empty as the Current one is...

I do not like that warning one bit myself. Apparently that forum is not only for Current Gameplay, but also only for pro-SOE posting as well. It was a humorous jab at SOE and as a moderator I would not wad up my underwear on that one.
I think the moderator in this case has established that an anti-SOE opinion on the "other side" is not allowed. If that is the case the board should have been named the "SWG Positive Posts Only Board". Very disturbing indeed. I hope I have no need to reverse my opinion about the MMORPG.Com staff.
Trolling and flaming is very subjective and hard to define. So much so that I would not attempt to moderate on the basis of saying "No Flaming or Trolling Allowed" yet moderators everywhere use this trite phrase all the time. If you are going to define making a joke about "Smedley licking his chops at the prospect of another paying customer" as trolling and flaming then I suppose their is no future for any of us here.
Hopefully the OP has posted in good faith and not left out other important details.

SOE announces the release of Star Wars Galaxies:Rainbow Pony Land. SOE has revamped its forums and chat servers to ensure that all views of SWG are happy-happy, iconic, and star-warsy. Additionally, all NPC scripts have been changed to say "Hello. Isn't the NGE GREAT?".

So instead of letting us make up our own mind whether it was "impolite", he had to erase the evidence in the form of the warning that USED to be posted above and impose his opinion on us. I came out and defended these people, and it becomes more and more apparent I made a major mistake.
If you can't see that there is a whitewash going on here, I truly weep for you.
MMORPG.Com owes us nothing, I admit that. I owe them nothing as well. I've wasted too much time here anyhow. Signing out. One less generator of free content for them to make money from. I'll see some of you around elsewhere.

No, actually I deleted the copy of the warning he was issued because of our Rules of Conduct. Apparently no one reads them. Well, here is the snippet I enforced:
Posting Other's Personal Information Without Consent - It is against our rules to post the personal information of other people without their consent. This includes, but is not limited to, email correspondence, contact information, photographs, financial information and social security numbers.
Now, bash me if you will for enforcing the RoC.
This has nothing to do with my opinion. This has to do with how we are told to enforce the rules.
I believe it was his email he posted, regardless of who it came from. Being that it was from this website, I fail to see where it was a violation of the RoC.

It is not up to us to decide what is polite or impolite , It is up to us to follow their rules . Whether there is a "whitewash" or not it makes no difference . If you can't follow their rules you have no buisness posting here to be frank . This site is not here for you to base your personal crusade from . It is here for the general mmo gaming public .They are able to offer a service to us , By the advertising they do . This section of their community offers little in regard to their primary source of income ( Existing mmo developers ).
Why do I say so ?
Do any amount of reading in this section , And you will reach one ultimate conclusion . The only game anyone here cares about is SWG . It is stated over and over "It was the only game on the market, that I had an interest in ". I also find it quite interesting , The second this site does something about this never ending argument . (NGEer vs PRe-cuer ) SO many take offence , The same group labeled as the vocal minority . Shows itself for what it is.
Look at any other forum here , No other has as much trolling and /or flaming . Please to every other poster , Do Not Associate the Pre-cu vet as the troll I speak of . I recognize there are a good number of well thought out posts from this side of the field , Free of flaming and trolling . But the ilk I refer to mixes itself in as such , Yet only flames and ridicules . A large number of this type of poster, has lumped itself into the legitimate crowd . These are the people you saw on the suck boards writing nothing but Pre-cu ftw's!!

Do not be so angry or mispleased. These new forums are the proof of how the game is an a bad situation. In all the forums this is the only one which has these types of topics.

I think you need to read the functions of both forums again. Everyone seems to think groups of people were categorized with this and Stradden has explained himself twice on this. It's not the "Refugee" section, it's the "Refuge". It's a place for ANYONE, current or past player to talk about the previous versions of the game. The "Current" section is for ANYONE to talk about the current gameplay, good or BAD.
You read it how you chose too and then jumped to conclusions. The staff hasn't seperated anyone. The users here have done a real good job of trying to divide themselves however.
Leave if you want but your leaving for the wrong reasons and its no one's fault but your own.

As far as I am concerned anyone sharing their violations publically deserves the boot. It adds nothing to the community here, all it does it further tear things apart and the message was only half his. The staff has a right to privacy when they enforce the rules. Having to deal with getting critiqued every time someone gets a warning or a ban is not acceptable for business or practical for a staff that most importantly is on a volunteer basis.

soe did such a great job screwing up swg so much that it's not only costing themselves members, but other companies, as well.

Ok Fadeus, at the risk of incurring your wrath, are you attempting to become a forum mod or something? People are certainly capable of looking up the rules. If they choose to defy them, or be ignorant, I think that is there choice.
Let the real mods handle the school-marm stuff.
