    Why restrict yourself for money that are used to loose restrictions?

    I'd gonna make a lot of money anyway, so that's is no way I would stop gaming.

    I said $10,000, but I wasn't thinking clearly when I said it. It would more accurately be about $50,000. Though $10,000 would be wonderful, I would want to have school completely paid for, in order to give up games forever.

    The modern MMORPG is simply not worthy, of the acronym RPG. The straight grind and lack of atmosphere leave me with no choice. From this day forth, World of Warcraft, Everquest 2, and all the games like them shall be referred to as PIGCRAP. People In Guilds Constantly Raiding And Power-leveling

    Most game developers I've met don't actually like playing games. You could be the minority and I encourage you to seek out your passion, but the odds are against you lol.

    The problem is, even if you have gotten your money, what then?

    You can't use the money to buy games, because you promised to be off that..., the withdrawal effects may just kill me .

    If this happened to me.... I'd use the cash to start a video game company or somehow get in the industry.  That way I have to play video games and thus negate the agreement, but still keep the cash.

    Hell, with school and all the stuff I'm doing. I barely play anyway... But I'm totally going for broke on this one. I'll milk it for as much money as I can... hopefully something around 20k.

    Yeah, I'm not some moron going for a "Video Game Development" degree or something. That's just stupid. If my school offered classes in video game dev. then I would take them for the same reason I'm taking some 3D Modeling classes........ just because I want to learn. :)

    But yeah, I'm going for a Computer Science degree and thinking about double majoring in Electrical Eng. so I can do some work on circuit cards or something. idk.

    But yeah..... That's why I said it's "my dream" and I will be a game dev some day, there's no doubt about that. But will you ever hear of my game? probably not.

    To keep me off of just MMOs indefinatly, I'd prolly say 20k-40k. To add console games to that, another 50k. To prevent me from even giving a shot to an occaisional PacMan or Tetris? 100k. A grand total of permanently keeping me off of all electironic devices for the sole purpose of gaming entertainment comes to almost 200k. Hell, then I can indulge myself for a few years until I decide to grow up.
