Well, yeah, it happens.  There are a lot of girls in TSO who seem on a quest to find a sim-husband, but it's not all of them or even most.  There are also certain sects of people who want to cyber a lot, but again, it's not everyone.

If you're interested in the game beyond the "pervert" aspect, there are plenty of cities (servers) that don't cater to that type of playstyle.  Your best bet would be to check out the official forums at http://sims.stratics.com and look at the specific city forums.  There you can find a lot of information about the city cultures and what the population of each city like and don't like.

You have to remember there are perverts and griefers everywhere you go.  TSO is unique in that it has a vast majority of female players, so there's a lot of turnabout.  Men who had never been objectified before may find themselves looked at as objects in this game...

Lots of people who have no social lifes?

image And who the hell are you to pass that kind of judgement?  Plenty of people play TSO who have social lives.  I used to have a social life.  Except now I'm with the no social life group, because I have a serious health problem.  That's what tends to cause people not to have social lives.  So you've just, a) made a completely false generalization, b) rubbed the fact that you don't have my illness in my face, and c) made it sound like those of us who can't have a social life are somehow at fault.  Plus making me mad.  In a one sentence post.  You should either be impressed with yourself, or very, very apologetic, depending on whether or not you wanted to be a jackass.

Now, why would someone want to have a Sim?  Well, for one, my Sim can dance a heck of a lot better than I ever could and he NEVER took a lesson!image  Secondly, I've met a ton of great people through the game.  Thirdly, if you don't go on romance lots with names like "ErOtIc PaRaDiSe" you won't run into many pervs.  Fourthly, if you're creative, you never run out of things to do.  Fifth, as opposed to most shoot-um-up MMORPGs (from what I can tell of them), you actually *do* need to play with others.  Sixth, there's no set universe or fandom you have to roleplay in, you can literally roleplay whatever you choose.  Enough reasons?

Well i think this last post is another great reason not to play TSO!

imageHow?  Because I, one person, reacted less-than-pleasantly when someone said something which is (currently) a button-pusher for me?  You ought to give the game a chance, instead of passing a judgement on it off of these forums.  I bet you'll have a good time!

I did try to make up for the first half of my post with a more cheerful second half too.imageimage
