If a person wants to make a statement based upon an after thought or reflecting on the death aspect to this game without merging it towards pvp, where is the crime in that?  I didnt state:

    1. i hate waiting around 30 minutes while traveling in space just to get close to some action

    or

    2. i think it sucks to wait so long just to get your ship to turn around 180 degrees

At no time did I add these to my initial post, what I believe to be that sucks doesnt mean that it shouldnt be stated nonetheless and as I recall, I addressed my initial post with 'if you like...' rather than what you imply.  If you cant handle my initial post then get the hell on your way and ignore the post entirely instead of sticking your nose into it.

so yea, ultimately i stand correct, the game is for you if you like starting over.

The first advice you will get from players in this game is: "Don't fly what you can't afford to lose". If you need to start over from the begining that means you did not follow that advice. Also if you rememberd to insure your ship you will get 70% (netto after insurance cost) of the ship value not counting equipment, 40% if forgot to insure.

Skill point loss is 0% if you have the correct clone, 5% of your total taken from the highest skill or 1 level of same skill, what ever is less if you don't have the clone.

Smart people don't put all the eggs in one basket so they don't need to start over.

First of all you are telling me something I already know and secondly, if you cant afford what you can fly then you cant gear it neither since you are broke.  The advise would not apply as well if someone else buys and you fly since the burden to buy is not your own. (lol)

You just don't get it. If you really knew thats how it was then you'd know you dont' start over if you die. Heck, I get popped lots of times. Once I got popped after forgetting to update my clone. Was I back to square one? No. I only lost about the last 12 hours of training. The phrase "Don't fly what you can't afford" means don't fly a FITTED ship that you cannot afford to replace if you lose it. I have lost many ships and have been podded many times. I spend most of my time pvping in 0.0 with my friends and somehow we manage. =P As far as someone else buying your ship for your, its your choice whether or not you play wrecklessly or cautiously with it. Frigates and frigate mods don't cost hardly anything and its very easy to make money to buy several fully fitted frigates to fly. Also, if you get popped, you're reanimated back at the station where you can update your clone and no, you can't undock from the station in a pod. Fortunately, you're given a free starter ship if you don't have any ships there or don't buy any there ;)

I would like to comment on the lag part of your dislikes. The only situation where you might face lag is when 1) Eve is having one of those wierd server hickups, the devs usually patch these up quickly. 2) HUGE fleet battles with hundreds of poeple 3) One of the core systems, on a weekend, at middle of day can get hectic, but not debilitating.

With eve being a classless game you can 'solo' anything you like. Although it will obviously be of a lesser scale. For example if you want to built a battleship, sure you can do that by yourself. But if you want a bit more than that, you can get some friends and make 40 battleships =. However the missions that agents give you can be done all solo up to level 4. Although help on some of the more difficult, high level missoins is a VERY good idea.

Eve has a basic tutorial which tells you how to do the basics. IT does however lack the 'culture' of eve and the relationships and activities which makes it unique. However it does not throw you into these situations too quickly so you have plenty of time to integrate yourself into it.

THe math in eve is not all that difficult. Its basic mulitplication, division, addition, subtraction stuff. Anything more complicated can be useful for graphs, projections, and other things but are not by any stretch necisiary. You will use this when your dealing with your own finances, corporation bank accounts, or production. THe combat part of the math is rather logical, IE: Its easier to hit a target thats heading straight away or towards you than one going off to the side. Although eve does provide a way to mathematically tally this on its website, all the information you need can be provided by a simple look at the item stats.

This game is for any mature, patient gamer. It is not, however, a game for people who enjoy being jackasses. If you plan on being a jackass in eve, you might find your time mostly spent avoiding mobs of angry players attempting to chase you down in order to pod your ass.
