This is the next game I will be going to on release and will be devoting a good chunk of my exsitence to it. I'm a mature player in my late 20's and looking for a guild that has high expectations on what it wants to do in the game. My history of mmorpg's include eq1 and eq2... only two and what that means is I devote my time with one mmorpg and no other game. I retired maxed level characters in both games. I'm very serious about taking my character (I don't believe in alts unless you have accomplished a great deal with a main) to end game content as being one of the best in my chosen class. I also believe that creating and building friendships is very important and I really hope to do that. Hope to hear from a guild to see if we can be a good match. Feel free to post here with a little about your guild and a guild website if you have one.

Umm, check our site, we are going to be a very active raiding guild and we are clear on what we want and the kind of person we want in our guild

This "call-to-arms" feature is 1 more reason why I don't want, as a grouper, to share the same server as these players.
When someone group me, he is to deny all others in-game stuff, unless he quit the group at the conclusion of our adventure or with the intend to never group me again. RL is acceptable. Changing activity after we finish something is acceptable. Raiding? Never.
Non-raiding server, so we can be free of these players that are unreliable and unworthy (and so they can be free of me to, I see OFFICERS refusing to answer a call-to-arm to avoid angering me in the past and since it was their only "good group in a while", it goes both ways). Players who are ready to abandon any group, anywhere, without any consideration, based on some officer randomly calling them. It is my experience that these "call-to-arms" are usually done many times EVERY months.
Devs, do us a favor, make sure we don't share the same server....a non-raiding server is definitely something necessary here.
*we is intended as players like me, and players like these, since me, anyway, I am not going to play the game if such a non-raiding server doesn't exists*
*group-wise, they are unreliable and unworthy...*

nice derail Anofalye, i see i am not the only one with "troll like tendencies" huh?
Baphomet,
If you can't see how RAIDING KILLS GROUPING with features such as "Call-to-arms", I dunno what more to say.
I am just underlining a VITAL aspect soo many peoples seem to be unable to grasp.
Unlike you who just take this opportunity to try to make a personnal attack, I am underlining a major problem which needs a solution. Non-raiding server happen to be a perfect solution for this problem as well as other problems. And let's be frank, wouldn't you enjoy to know that you won't have to care about meeting you on your server? See, best for everyone.

no i did not make any personal attack, i am pointing out to you that you derailed yet another topic that has nothing to do with raiding...that is wildly considered trolling.
and since you called me out and said i have "troll like tendencies" i decided to attempt to point that out to you when you trolled this post with your "raiding vs grouping" argument.
where in this post does it invite the argument of "raiding vs grouping"? my point is not to personally attack you witch i did not do...my point was to point out to you that since you called me out for trolling i would return the favor.
BTW sorry OP about the derail, i know i am just as guilty as he is i just had to call him out....good luck with your guild.
Not so nice guy!
Don't forget to make it so that people can't leave your group to eat, sleep, take care of their kids, or go to the bathroom to.
Let's see I leave groups to:
go to bed = 50%
to take care of my family = 40%
because I want to get away from an elitist twit = 10%
to go raid = 0%
Not so nice guy!
First at all the "call to arms" feature in the kind of guild we are building is from rarelly to never used... If you read http://www.veguild.org/forums/showthread.php?t=78, we have several policies, rules and regulations, call them however you want. These regulations actually works like a filter and allow us to get the right people for our guild. The special about our guild is that we adapt our guild to our needs that's first, Second we know what we want to be, where we want to be, what kind of guild we are and what kind of people we want to be part of our guild.
For the differents tastes colours were made... Vitae Essentia is just for the people who want to be part of it and obiouslly agree with our rules, regulations, policies, etc. Whoever wants to be part of Vitae Essentia of any kind of raiding guild like us, have to realize that we are a raiding guild and we are actually looking for people that enjoy raiding(as you can read in our site).
Some people call this kind of guilds like Hardcore, I preffer to call Vitae Essentia a Very active raiding guild with very respectful, experienced and organized leading the guild that come's from different kind of raiding guilds, one from a casual raiding guild and two from very hardcore raiding guilds. The whole concept of our guild made us different than the rest of hardcore/active raiding guilds. Our goal right now is to do more in less time than the rest of the active raiding guilds. Anyway, if you read well about our guild, we are more than just hardcore, hum hum, I mean an active raiding guild, we do monthly and bimonthly guild events like: Scavenger Hunts, Guilds best of the best, races and a few others coming.
But the true is, that in essence we are raiding guild that uses a dkp system to reward members and we need active people to exist as we want to be. As dkp guild, members should be very active to receive points and participate in the loot process, which to be honest so far is the faster and fairer loot distribution that you will ever see.
With the non raid server, I agree, but since there's not raid content the raid gear should not be accesible to that server, neither the raid quests. Just my opinion.
