Umm, congratulations? I dealt with plenty of them before the NGE. That doesn't change the fact that they are childish, wrong, or against an agreement you had to agree upon to get into the game.

It might have been childish, but I don't blame them. People should have protections against companies that want to rip away 2 yrs worth of work from paying customers. Virtual or not.
The EULA will get challenged at some point. It's just matter of time.

I was in 3 and organized one. They were a hoot until the csr's started TPing everyone out in space.

Don't know if it's 'protest', but I stood in front of Theed starport waving a metal staff and prophesized the Jedi Plague that would doom us all during the CU ...
3 weeks of being reminded of the stuff I can't do now, grinding a low-level n00b (because I refuse to NGE convert my primary character), it really has very limited appeal. And you know they'll tout any increased numbers as "lots of people returning to the game" as if taking a free trial was a sign of approval.
Let me know when the 90-day free trial of pre-CU servers being run by somebody besides Smed starts ... I'm in.

Are you the type of person that promises someone something but when they do something wrong you tell them well you didn't keep to your promise because they screwed up?
If you agree to it you agree to it. Wether it is legal, can be enforced or anything else is just demeaning the value of a persons honestly and trust. It's just another shady way of getting around your obligations, cheating the system.
That generally isn't how I like to be known...

I'm a little slow today. How did I say that?
Everyone must accept the EULA in order to play. There were not options to select which parts you agreed with. Stating something in a EULA does not mean jack squat. They could have a clause in the EULA that would allow them to take my house. It still does not allow them to do it according to the law.
I think we have to remeber that EULA is not the end all be all of any future grievances.

It won't work. From the outset people are going to be pissed that their rank is gone..."
You know it could be kinda... So say 200,000 people log in once go OMFG and log out and uninstall.
Then someone who is trying to avoid blame says.. but but in October we gained 200,000 subs.!! Things are getting better and I want a raise..
(I mean lol its as possible as anything else).
What I would like.. is someone who sees the bottom line figures... and be able to tell them one thing.
Give me pre-cu (either convert the database or totally new server(s) I don't care which) and I have 9 accounts I'll bring back for MUCH longer than 21 days.
There is no other decent MMO on the market imho.. and I don't have much hope for anything coming up.
I mean Tabla Rasa (the richard garriott game) looks better than most anything else I look at... I'm not sure if that's good or bad.
I just know there is no game of "the type I enjoy" coming up.. so I pretty much just don't play any MMO.
I do log into daoc 2x a week to kill people and I pretend they all are SOE employees.

When the NGE hit I totally un-installed and demanded my money back for the ToOW, (which took 5 1/2 weeks to get) I wonder if they will include that in the free 21 day trial.

No, still gotta pay for ToOW

I recieve the newsletters as well, but have not had any offers extended to me in the past.
Just out curiousity, did you do anything when the NGE came out? BBB or Legal? I think it may be the reason they never send me these offers. Not saying that it would matter anyway. I would not play this game if it were free.

You quit resently, didn't you? I don't think they're offering it to those who have quit in the last few months, only those who have been gone long enough to have forgotten how bad it was...
I'll start my own SWG... with Black Jack... and Hookers!!!
