Forward the email to your state AG's office and state that Sony is committing fraud. Also complain to the BBB and the FTC.
A false solicitation is certainly a violation of the law. If they are offering you 21 days free on your inactive accounts they have to deliver. This could get them into trouble.
4/4 of my inactive accounts won't work, and they were all in good standing when their time ran out. I am certain that Sony is being selective based on who's who here on this message board.
They are guilty until proven innocent.
I've already forwarded my complaint to the BBB, the KY AG's office (my home state), the FTC, and the WV AG's office (the state I was in when I received the solicitation).

Unfortunately, I never received an email. And my jrscott account was on forum ban for spamming logic when it ran out.

I received the email on two email accounts. I can't log into any of my former 4 accounts, based on the offer and it's instructions.
All we have to do is find enough people who were defrauded of $250 total (everyone times what SOE would charge for 21 day's access) and we have a felony criminal case against SOE. Intestate and international wire fraud.
Myself alone accounts for about $50.
It will be easy to find enough to exceeed $250.
Yes, I had banned forum accounts, but my in game accounts are in good standing, ie: if I reactivated with a credit card they will take it and open it back up. No notice of an in game account ban has ever happened for me (I've never had any sort of in game account action).
To test this I reactivated one of my 4 accounts with a spare game card. It is open and playable, proving me right.
Sony has sent this email out to everyone who canceled who had opted in to receive their emails yet they have SELECTIVELY forbidden accounts held by known critics of the NGE (as I am one, Shayde another, and most of you also on the list) from being able to accept the offer.
This may be Sony's fatal blunder........... Yes, really! This is actionable. The subtelty of their EULA and the changes they made to SWG is unprecedented in litigation. But a fake come on that offers you something for free then requires you to pay for it is a classic fraud well litigated and well set in legal precedence.
But in a semi related note, I have mentioned before the fact that I had to sue my last business partner to buy back my stock. I never mentioned the mechanics of how I was able to convince his lawyer they would lose the case.
I still held 25% of the company stock when I had left. One day in December, I got a notice of the annual shareholders meeting. That year it was to be held halfway across the country on the day before Christmas at his sister-in-law's house. Nasty, yes...legal yes.
BUT, it allowed my lawyer and I to take a position that showed the two remaining stockholders who were husband and wife were not taking their fiduciary responsibility to the other stockholders seriously and that I was in effect "frozen out". This would pretty much give me a victory in court forcing the buy-back. Had they not held that meeting out of state on Christmas Eve, my case would have been 50/50.
So, while I am not sure this particular act by SOE breaks any law, it may open them up in other ways. It's unethical and shady if what you are describing is truly happening. And it could have unforseen ramifications for them that they would have rather not opened themselves up to.

Soon to be deleted and banned post to the Naziboard:

I received the solicitation. My in game accounts are all in good
standing (as in I can resub them, indeed I did resub one to prove this
fact), yet I can't log in following these instructions:
http://intrepid.galaxyforums.com/index.php?act=Attach&type=post&id=829
Others
have reported being able to. Others (including myself) cannot.
Everyone who reports they cannot are so far those who have been vocal
critics of the NGE on another forum.
Are you selectively excluding certain people?
Is this a techinical problem?
Or is this otherwise? If you don't want this to be yet another debacle, I suggest swift action.
If
you want to have a chance of attracting the hundreds of thousands of
pre-NGE vets back, you need to start with open honesty. We are a
forgiving fanbase. Hell, we forgave Lucas for EP1, what more proof do
you need?

It *could* just be more shoddy coding on their part. They are prone to that you know.
I'm just sayin'

Same thing happened to me during the last free offer they sent out . I had quit about a month prior and could not take the trial offer .

I can understand wanting to go after soe, but this is beyond weird to me. If I were picked to be spared a horrible death, I wouldn't complain about being discriminated against.
Maybe it's just me.
For the Horde!
Heh, I find it funny too :P
Seriously though, can you even file a complaint about something that's offered for free?
What I am interested in though is they have given us another cause for action against them.

Most definitely.
Fraud is fraud.
They are offering me free subs on my 4 former accounts, for 21 of 30 days, almost a free month. I follow their instructions and cant' log in without paying.
That is fraud.
Under US law, whenever someone offers you something of monetary value for free then fails to follow through they are committing interstate fraud.

What are they gaining and you losing?
Since you can't buy 21 days of gameplay, couldn't it be argued that it doesn't have a monetary value?
False advertising is REMOTELY possible, but even then they seem to be covered because it is by invite. Like I said in my other post, the best you are going to do with this I think is to use it as one more example of unethical but probably legal behavior that sets a pattern of behavior for some other case.
Again, I'm no lawyer. I just deal with legal issues more often than I want to being an American businessperson.

Oh, I can BUY 30 days of gameplay.
On the accounts that I was offered 21 days for free.
That is lost monetary value. Since SOE thinks their game is worth money to sub to (and charges for it), they have no argument against it not being worth money.
Sorry for multiple edits, I needed to phrase it in a way you would understand.

Yes, but they're not offering you 30 days free, they're only offering you 21 days. You can't just buy 21 days of subscription time as such a product does not exist.

Nice move, but flawed as always.
Yeah, but it could also be (in SQL):
select LoginResult = case Harddrive_Taste when 'Ducksauce' then 'FAIL' else 'COME_ON_IN' end
from Users
where LoginID = 'jrscott'
If you catch my meaning.
I realize I said I quit. I never said it was forever
I could care less about playing the game, I just want to troll their message board again.
