Hm. Well I can honestly say me and several friends enjoyed it for a while there but we all simultaneously turned it off. It was uncanny.
What I remember:
Character creation was kind of neat because there were mixes of almost any base build in the game. You don't get to mix and match how good you want to be at magic and combat, say, but just about every way to mix and match them was already given a moniker by the developers anyway.
You had multiple hitpoint bars which I thought was neat. Allowed for weapons to have some different effects. Something like normal HP, Blood Points (stabbing weapons typically did BP damage) and pseudo magical Essence Points.
Basically when I played, in order to level up you had to kill bears. A lot of bears. Everything in combat had a warm up and cool down time, during which you couldn't do anything. The grind got pretty dull.
The world was composed of 6 pretty large zones and several smaller dungeons and towns. Loading times could be long.
The Lightech engine is hilarious. You could climb onto all sorts of junk you shouldn't have been able to. Up apparently sheer walls and jumping around on buildings. For some reaons, leaping straight up, tapping forward, and letting yourself fall onto an angled surface would stick you to that surface instead of sliding down it. There was a huge mountain I climbed in this way. Furthermore, you could jump on top of a bush. Then you could jump again and stick higher up in the air, which was also a hoot.
