How to get started

I'm going to pick up the free trial in a week or so, what should I read up on first so I know what I'm doing when I come into the game? Is there a really good FAQ somewhere to get you started?

Best thing to do in my view is get into the game and find some action.

There really isn't any documentation to the game.  Many attempts have been made, no tutorial, it's generally down to the veterans to guide you.

Pick a side, find a brigade with a lot of players in it, spawn in then ask on the target channel (usually F2 key) if someone can show you the ropes.

Chances are someone will take you under their wing and give you pointers, even a squad invite until you've figured out what is going on.

    Start at this Wiki-page
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II_Online#Gameplay

Then pass by at The Trainer
    http://www.thetrainer.info/

Lots and lots of good info there. And then is there even more info there.

Then do you have this site. Also excellent with yet another big pile of info (this is a bloody big and complex game out of the ordinary).
    http://www.battlegroundtools.com/

Then has one of the players (Gnasche) put together an UI-guide (well two actually, an old one and a new one). Very clever.

Also check out Gnasche's general support page for WWIIOL:BE.

Then when you are ready to download the client to test the game in Off-line mode should you visit SgtSpoon's site to download key-mapper files to make everything so much easier.

Then do we have Snoop's Moviecorner with older instruction movies for how to play WWIIOL. Even though the quality of these movies isn't the best do they still has lots of good information.
