Questions for existing players.

OK, before a flame fest starts, i know that this is a beta test and that the servers can be down from time to time for updates etc. I am just looking for some general info.

1 - It says that the servers are down daily between "5pm-Midnight PT" and i assume that this is US Pacific Time, which would be -8:00 hours on UK time. I know it sounds like a newbie question, but please indulge me.

2 - What is the average undisturbed playing time (barring bugs)?

3 - Is there currently more than one server, as i heard mention that you could have 3 chars 'per server,' but there was only one listed when i started the game.

4 - Where do you get information on downtimes. I have been through the official forums and most of the site, but i could not find an explanation of why the servers were currently down?

    I just got my beta key, and to my horror (I didn't know this when I signed up), the servers are up from 2 AM (!) till 10 AM my time. I have no clue how I can manage to test this game at all, since I REALLY can't test during the night 
    I just checked (it's 1.45 PM here at the moment), and indeed, I can't log in. The one server that is listed is in maintenance status.

    Thx Xrux, i did see that and i was getting the message;

    "Servers Closed! 5 pm - midnight PT Daily!"

    I was unsure as to whether they meant that the servers were currently down or whether it was just information about when the servers are down, do you see what i mean?

    Can i assume from your statement that it means that the servers are currently down, yes?

    Now i am reading it back to myself, it is not worded well, but i think the server message means that the servers are up between 5pm & midnight Pacific time, which is gonna be a problem!!

    For me that means that the servers are only available between 1am - 8am, not really prime playing time. One of the reasons i gave up on a couple of MMO's was because it was hard to sync up with North American players. If the game is going to be tested in Europe they should really have made some server time available at sensible Euro times.

    I understand that it is a Beta test and they have work to do, but if this was going to be the case maybe they should not open the Beta to EU users.

    game seems to be up all the time or darn near it now but continue to check the homepage top right corner for server status

    so far Im only seeing one server pleasant

    During the week the servers are only open for log-in during those times. As of now the only times they're open all day are the weekends (Friday night to Sunday night I believe.)

    well kids, i hate to tell you this but there times are all off. I'm on the east coast and its been up as early as 5pm here and then as late as 4am. I logged on this morning at 11amEST to just see if they were up and they were... its a weekend AND out of the scheduled time either way you look at it.

    Also, for those wondering if there is only one server, yes, there is only one server durring ANY beta I have ever been apart of and i've been apart of several. Why would a company trying to make money run more then one server for maybe 1000 players or so? Its still in Beta Phase 1, so theres really no reason for them to run any more then that.

    Here is a big hint.....

    Only the login server goes down.  The game server stays up, so if you log in and leave the game up, you can play it when you come home.

    Since the keys were given away here its always been up. So no need to worry.

    Server used to be up 5pm-Midnight PT but they have changed it to run at all times now except when they need to fix problems or maintenance etc etc.

    As far as i know, there seems to be just 1 server running during CB and u can create up to 3 chars.
