Just my two Copper, If they kept it the same, I wouldn't have a problem with it. Warriors always hurt me, SK's are usually an equil match, unless they get lucky with harm touch before I use Lay on Hands. Magic Users in general always beat me, even your friendly neighborhood Cleric.
Being a Paladin in Old EQ wasn't exactly fun when it came to PvP. So if they kept it the same, I wouldn't mind. That way, if someone wants to kill you it's /d to you and my usual reply is /rude /hide and report to the GM that there be a bully about. well okay, I wouldn't exactly hide.

Paladins with high resists are very good at PvP, they would kick any magic user with same investment or less except maybe a wizard or if they have issues with a pet.
Of course, if you duel someone that have twice your raw power in the toon, no matter the class, he should kick you (except maybe warriors and rogues hehehe).

From what I read so far, PvP is going to be similar to EQ1 Carebear servers. People can choose to be PvP without effecting the people that don't want it. Hopefully it won't be as much of a failure as the book of discord system (only because carebears couldn't cast on a discord)
EQ2 will be much more advanced (obviously) I'm almost willing to bet there will be pvp flags, so if a carebear healed a discord, he would be flagged killable for a few minutes.
Which to me, is the best system and somthing EQ1 would have done if thier engine wasn't so old.
Maybe that will change with the new DX9 engine, but by then I'll be in EQ2 so oh well.
