Whats Your First Nightfall Character's Primary Profession?

So what is your first Nightfall character gonna be? I think that I am going to follow a possible overcrowding and go with Dervish.

  • I voted dervish but keep in mind paragon is actually a pretty good healer and has 80 AL+shield.  I found the paragon hench pretty darn nice as I rarely had to worry about him dying.  Some of the paragon stuff is pretty nasty if combined right.  I made one of the my monk heroes a monk/paragon gave him a shield(+10AL I think) and motivation stuff + some spear backup DPS and a couple key Monk things.  He was extremely tough and a good healer and could put bleeds out all over without using energy.

And they have the MC hammer "You can't touch this" shout.

I chose the Paragon, real solid profession. I can't wait to start a P/N.

Dang and I thought I'd be in the minority playing a Paragon first (well, there's still only 5 votes). I honestly thought everyone would be playing Dervish first :)

    I'm kinda torn, actually. I really wanna try 2 classes, a D/R and a W/P and I don't know which to play first :<

I like the paragon, myself.  Being able to help your teammates with shouts, chants and echoes is a lot of fun.

And especially with all of the conditions they can cause, I can see paragons being a fun addition to a ViM build.

I think im going to build a worrior/dervish w/ 13 str. 12 scythe mastery and a w/p w/ 13 str. 12 spear. LOL yes im going to take advantage of the strength build for Nightfall.

Do not mistake Indifference for Hate. Nor Kindness for Weakness. for this is the Bane of Judgment !

I wonder what a assassin/dervish with 13 crit would be like.  Especially with a zealous sctyhe.  You might get some crazy energy regen.  And assassins have some enchants as well.

BTW I tested it out and each hit gives +1 engery with a scyth, so you can concieveably get 3 +1's on one attack if you are surrounded.

I liked my Paragon I played in the WPE.  She was as much fun to play as any of the other classes.  The Dervish are pretty fun too.  I think I will most likely roll up a P/D.

Question: are all the guild war and guild war faction character will be also in Nightfall? Should I also get the guild war prophecies or wait until the nightfall comes?

Pretty sure that it has been confirmed by multiple sources that if you own factions you will be able to use As. and Rit. on the Nightfall continent just like if you owned by Factions and Prophecies you could use them in the Chapter 1.  That said if you don't own Factions you will not be able to roll up an As. or Rit.

Heh yeah but paragon seems to fit more into the Warrior archetype than the Rogue archetype.  Which is rather interesting.  With shield I htink they get up to 96 AL.

Str-stat armor penetration only applies to weapon skill attacks & the 2 pip energy regen wont be too usefull for the dervish enchantment needs (although tactics stances & adrenaline attacks from W-job would be usefull).

W/P would be easier to adapt since Paragon has good signets & adrenaline skills (along with echos that work great with shouts from warrior line).

Regarding Assassin & Ritualist: they cannot be started as a primary job in Nightfall but can be choosen as subs.

I said paragon simply because I like their style. They, in my opinion are like a tank, but can add one more profession. It just seems so cool.
