    I started playing MMORPGS in 1999. A friend introduced me to the genre and he has long since left the gamming scene but I'm still here.

    3 years for me-  I've spent 3 in AC and a couple months in WoW

    And I imagine I will be playing for many more years because the idea of watching TV every night is just unfathomable to me now:)

    I been playing them pretty much since the genre was 'invented', even before it had a name. There's been good times and bad times. We've sure come a long way though.

    Since summer of 97 (Realm Online).

    Game is still around today:  Realm Server.  Probably if I dug around I could find the original CD I ordered.  This was before everyone had high speed internet, so downloading 120MB was a waste of time because 56k would time out around 30-40MB or so.
