So if you have your heart on playing the hero/villian comptition get ready to pony up a good chunk of cash cause your going be buying a new OS and if you have an older system new hardwear as well. And if anyone has ever tried going the cheap route and buy an OS windows update you know how frustationing that is your better off just buying the full blown version wihich Microsoft will charge at least 199.00 for.
so will it really be worth it?

YES, I believe it will be worth it.  Vista is the future, why fight it?  Besides, computer gaming is a hobby and hobbies cost money.  MUO isn't out for 2 to 3 more years...if you can't scrape up $200ish bucks between now and then, you probably need a new hobby.  It would seriously suck if companies stopped pushing the bar because of the players.

I just played Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

    A really good RPG!

Probably better with either an xbox or an xbox controller.

The problem with a marvel super hero game is that you are not going to be able to play your favourite Marvel Hero. They will just be quest givers. (Villains for boss fights mind).

I haven't read much about the Marvel thing.  I'm wondering how much different it could be from COH.  I hope we aren't going to see 20,000 Spiderman's, 15,000 Hulks, etc.  I don't think that would be much fun.  That being said, how will it really differ?

That's easy.  In CoH, there's no such thing as the Hulk or any character even close to that kind of power.  All CoH characters are more like Marvel sidekicks at best.  Not one of the CoH ATs currently in the game could go toe to toe with any first line Marvel Super Hero.  Currently, we have City of Heroes.  Marvel will be City of SUPER Heroes.

No, you're right.  It's a great game if you understand that you will not be playing a character like Superman, the Hulk, Thor, etc.  If you go into the game thinking that you'll be playing a character like that, you will be disappointed.   That was the reason for my sidekick comment.  Your character in CoH just simply does not measure up to the power level of most famous comic superheroes.  Still, the game is a lot of fun.  Repetitious, but fun.
