How long is the factions/nightfall campaign?

Hi I'm an old GW player who really liked the story not the PvP, yeah i know half of the game is about PvP.
So actually I'm interested in Factions/Nightfall Add-ons but I want to know how long the campaign is?
As long as factions? Shorter? plse tell me

Factions is a bit shorter than Prophecies, as the continent of Cantha is a bit smaller. But it's a lot more dense, and the quests are more interesting, imo, as the Missions which are more difficult for some of them.

Nightfall is said to be more PvE-friendly than both previous ones, so i'd advise you to wait for NF if you don't want to buy both. NF features some new things such as the Heroes which are enhanced henchies, which you can choose and customize their skillbars, so not a bad thing when you want to do something specific.

My PvE recomendation would be Prophocies(based on experience) and Nightfall (based on what we think it will be).  If you haven't played for a long time Anet did add a couple of areas and high end quests to prophocies so it may be worth you time to check that out. 

Factions is a fine game, but I wouldn't spend $50 on it if I was just going to play the PvE part and nothing else.  Wait for the price to come down.  If you going to buy a $50 game wait for Nightfall, play that till your bored crazy then you can go pick up factions once the price drops a bit.  Faction only has 13 missions I think.  I assume you know how many prophocies had.

Bent is correct, Factions only has 13 missions (or a whopping 14 if you do things in the right order with a lot of help from you Guild (read: cheat)). I remember hearing somewhere that Nightfall would have about 24 missions, which is what Prophecies has.

But, I also agree with Bent about Factions. If you're just going to play the PvE side, wait for a price drop. It'll just bore you to tears and make you wanna stop playing GW. I'd say that Factions is fun once. Maybe.

so getting any of the expansions is worth it, i still play GW every once in awhile but i still only have the original.  I am not too into the PVP part of it but liked the PVE part of it

i was wondering that myself, and thanks for the info.  I never bought any of the expansions, but now i think i might slurge and get them

i agree with bent , i liked the story not the PVP and and so like a new story will apearance in GW:NightFall. I will wait when it turn out!

Personally I enjoyed the Factions storyline more than Prophecies (even though I dispise Togo).  I think it is the Asian influence that I like about the game.   Anyway as mentioned Factions storyline is a lot shorter than Prophecies.  Nightfall is supposed to be a good deal longer, but still not quite as long as Prophecies but as it hasn't been released yet it is still really anyone's guess.
