So Ive read up on some info, and it seems THF with NIN as the SJ goes great as well as WAR. Was just wonderin if there were any thieves here that could give me anymore advice

Hand-to-hand is the best weapon for a THF until 33 simply because of Combo. MNK sub is good but make sure to keep dagger leveled up for level 33 when you get Viper Bite. If you don't want to use h2h use sword in main hand and use Fast Blade.

Early on, Thf really sucks. Its one of the worst first jobs to pick mainly because daggers are very weak. And soloing those first 10 or so Lvls will be quite difficult and tiresome. A way to get through this is to use a sword (But make sure you switch with a dagger aswell to cap its skill so you don't get behind later on in the game). A sword can work all the way up untill 33 when you'll get Viper Bite (Dagger Weapon skill).

As already mentioned, Using Hand-to-Hand is also good, But since this will be your first character, its not recommend. Mainly because you won't have a subjob yet. Part of the compatibility with Thf and H2H (Hand to hand) relies on the Monk subjob which gives you a Martial Arts Job trait. This trait decreased yoru base H2H delay, Meaning you'll attack faster.
