please help, few questions about the game

i played ffxi when it first came out and i stopped playing soon after, i'm thinking about coming back tot he game but i had a few questions...

do you still have to get a warrior up to 20 or 30 before you can get your true job like a dragoon?

what is the pvp like?

is there a bunch of new different looking armor? i remember some of the armor looking exactly the same just different colors, i'm just lookin for a variety of different armor.

is the game lowbie friendly, like a bunch of quests and stuff to do when your low levels.

Its not newbie friendly, not at all, amount of gfx for armours is higher but still something not highly shocking.

Yes, u still have to raise basic job to be able to obtain advanced job.
