Discuss please. I know some, but I am not quite the uber geek. It appears to me that Firefox is only better if one is actually going to use lots of extensions. I know IE has always seemed faster for me. They're saying Opera's the fastest but Opera seems to have problems with some things, even this website, maybe it's changed. I also think Stumble Upon is worth getting Firefox in itself. BTW I'm using Internet Explorer 6 with a tabbed browsing extension I picked up somewhere. That's 6 with tabs; not 7.
EDIT: for those who don't know, IE 7 has tabbed browsing but it's pre-release software. like beta.
EDIT 2: dam...Firefox 2 beta didn't see this.

I have Firefox and IE 7 beta.
The only thing I dont like about Firefox is that you cant watch some movies from web pages. You have to reconfigure it somehow. I use it most of the time though.
I like the new tabbing features of IE 7.
I use Firefox, not because it's cool, but because I like it.
I like the interface, I like the extensions/plug-ins, I like the tabbed browsing, I'm still convincied that FF is faster IE when counting the startup of Explorer.exe. Did you see that test computer? It sucked. Before you make a more comprehensive list with more computers, the list is worthless.
Just like I don't look at pure statistical FPS while playing a game, I judge how good it runs on my rig by actually playing and feeling it. And yes Firefox is far safer than IE. Just try going to www.keygen.us or similar sites.
EDIT:
Also, when I create sites in Dreamweaver, I often have trouble with getting the design to look right when testing in IE. That doesn't happen in Firefox. When I compare to the Design in Dreamweaver, FF is always accurate.
Because everybody has been using Firefox and other new browsers, IE has been upgraded more often.
Ever since my mother got a worm on her computer because she was googling images with IE, I'll never ever use it again.
Neptus - FFXI - Pandemonium
Neptus - WoW - Detheroc
plus it's nicely html compliant, which i always found a plus when writing websites. was less forgiving, so you could easier see where problems may arise in a site. plus the code view when you went to view the output totally smashes ie's "let's just open it in notepad without formatting!" approach

i currently use firefox, due to the sheer fact of when downloading i can choose to just open or save. for small files and installers i prefer to just open rather than save.
