Well said VGJustice. Especially the "player skill over everything else" statement.

Ill add this, Ive been lvl 20 for over a year in all my char slots.... I still gain lvls. I have over 30 skill points banked. All skills unlocked. The lvl cap is just a number and the end of atribute point gaining.

The good thing about Guild Wars is that it has no end game. I finished Prophesy and brought all my characters from Tyria to Cantha and finished Factions aswell with 6 characters. Time and time again, I spent all my playtime in the Arenas or Fort Aspenwood. It's a never ending game.

Also with the addition of new professions each Chapter, the challenge level goes up tenfolds due to the increase of posible profession combination. It's a never ending game (I think I already said that. image)

In all honesty I haven't been huge into MMORPG's and I did end up getting GW because no subscription.  I can't stand paying $15 a month.  I'd pay $5 .. MAYBE $10 a month if I got bonus' or extras.  Theres a LOT of free MMO's out there I can play for free.

I guess I'm really picky when it comes to MMO's and I've played several(5-10) about 2-3 I have liked to stick with some.

I feel GW is a good game, but one thing I can't stand about is the level cap.  Almost everything on there is level 20. I played everyday for a couple months and I'm level 18 I think.  I feel theres not enough player interaction unless your into PvP or somehow find a decent guild.  Making and getting people to join your guild is pretty hard, we tried.

You can probably advance in other areas in GW, but I want level to say how long I've been around and the superiority thing, level 20 is just a crappy level cap.

And everything in the game looks the same, you just alter the colors with die.  Theres needs to be different looks to things, variety keeps me coming back, seeing something that I haven't seen that makes me go "OOOOOO."

Otherwise I do think its fun, but it doesn't meet my standards, it meets about 50% of them and there are better free games out there you don't have to pay $1 for...

    Thats just my thoughts..

I'd like to know what's a good lvl cap, would you mind and tell me?

I think it's crappy to be able to say "üüü that player is good he has ten lvls better than me" maybe it's easier to say
then whose "good" and whose not. But in GW your able to prove yourself with other things: do good in GvG you will be noticed,do good in another PvP things and even in PvE. And in GW player skill determines much not that the player had the ten lvls more than you.

So you play to see that players have nice looking staffs?

The game is good. But it's just good, not great. I miss freedom in GW. Sure you can go farm mobs, but your party is isolated from the rest of the game while you do it. I also miss the exitement of getting / loosing something in pk situation. Surely I can go in Alliance battles (for example) and farm some factions but so what?

Somehow it just feels that there is not anything new for casual player like me after one moth of playing.

     15k FoW, luxon, Kurzick.

     all the greens

     all the rare skin weapons

     rank16

     win the world Championship

Only then you have made almost every single thing to do and I image to you

I think its the feeling that once you leave town you have to fight through everything that gets to some people.  I think Anet should puts some more exploring orietned zones in just for the heck of it.

Basically a lot of maps boil down to chokepoint camps and patrols and I think people get tired of that.

Maybe you ought to make a game with that feature in it, surely you'd attract "a lot" of players.

Guild Wars has many open explorable areas and monster live in these open explorable areas, thus have the rights to defend their land from intruders. It's how the game is, you have to fight and fighting is good for the soul.

Why would I want to make a game?  The gaming industry is crap and I am perfectly happy with Guild Wars.  I didn't say GW had any real problems.  I said that I think people who identify the game as lacking freedom are really talking about this trait of GW even though GW has way more freedom in other regards than most any MMORPG.
