Feudal Japan

hi,

I was just wondering whether anyone knows of any mmorpg that is based in or similar to a fuedal Japanese setting.  Something similar to the table top/card game Legends of the 5 Rings?  I have a great love of this type of world, and would love to play one...free or not.  I know of a game in development called Samurai Online. It is an open source game and hasn't really started any development as such, so could take 2-4 years to complete

    I really like fuedal Japan and I think it would make an awesome setting!! Lets hope someone does it!

    Well...

     

    If I was Microsoft(or anothe rich corporation), I would make the graphic and game engine and hire Kuei to do the rules, class and setting and everything in the game...

     

    But I am not Microsoft. :)

    think AC orrig was somewhat involved with feudal japan (shoi race.) And there was a game a few years ago where the user marshaled armies in large scale epic type battles. Lota ninja type consoul games over the last decade.

    any of the total war games kick ass!

    and i think legend of mir/myth of soma takes place in that era. helbreath might as well.
