Man and i though you were gonna vote on archlord Game heheh just kidding... id have to agree with you as well.. and i would believe thats a first down with Dark and Light
Dungeons & Dragons Online is the worst MMO game of 2006 ,
It is better than Dark and Light.
But judging by how BIG potential this licence had and how DDO managed to destroy it completely and utterly , estrange wagon loads of licence fans , and in every other way completely misunderstand both MMO genre and D&D franchise.
This is why DDO deserves worst game of the year award, and probably biggest disapointment/wasted development of the decade

DnL was pretty heinous. I stayed up all night killing rhino men to reach level 20 only to get rolled back to level 12 the next day. I couldn't cancel fast enough.
Regardless of when the NGE came out SWG gets the award of Worst... Game... EVER!
You cannot judge a game by the license. The game is to be judged as what it is - A single game in its own right. Just because a game doesn't stay true to what you see(This is all perception based) as the license, doesn't make it a failure. Just because a game doesn't work out the way you had imagined, doesn't make it a failure.
There are a lot more crappy games out there than DDO. DDO just got the heat because it is by a big name developer namely Turbine who used to churn out greats like AC1 and AC2 (who unfortunately ceased to exist). I guess they loss their touch. As for the worse games... there are a LOT some of them doesn't even have the opportunity to be given the limelight of community attention. But I must agree that DDO was a disappointment for me. I played the game expecting much much more but instead during launch my hopes were dashed.

I assume you are talking about DDO ?
You would be totaly right , if this was only my perception. But it is not.
Turbine is not really succesfull with this game. And that is understatement. The game itself is fiasco.
And every single D&D ( real d&d - books, paper, dice) player would tell you that DDO is far from spirit and gameplay of D&D - as New Zeland to Alaska ...

SWG was terrible before NGE.
Lack of content? yes. But we had the ability to create our own which kept most people happily busy living lives in a SW universe. Once they removed that it made the lack of content stand out more. Now the game just sucks. Name another game where you could make a name for yourself doing something as mediocre as crafting or dancing. It wasnt a game for just combatants, which made the game have more of a real world feel.

Dungeons and dragons online is Guild wars with a monthly fee
guild wars is knight online with a box price
so DDO is the worst of 2006 (that ive tried)
i havent played and wont play d&l so i cant use it

Worst game ever IMO and that's probably because I am a huge AD&D fan that expected some simblance of similarities in gameplay.
Horrid gameplay, took the best parts of a mmo and Tabletop gameplay out of the game.

It's better be hated for who you are, than loved for who you aren't.
I'm going to vote for LOTR Online as well, if it comes out in 06 anyways.
The game is basically DDO but without all the neat game mechanics that the DnD tabletop license brought with it.
So all you who voted for DDO should change your vote to LOTRO
