Largest SWG ghost town ever!

How do I know its a ghost town? Because they lost their metropolis city ranking, shuttle port is gone, city hall is gone, city buildings like cantina, hospital, cloner all condemned, shops condemned, 70% of the houses condemned. City standing gone. Its like a plague hit.
Don't even bother coming back and paying for this game, no one else has, regardless of what the fanbios say. I saw 2 other people in the Mos eisley cantina last night. GL finding entertainers at any hour of the day. There was maybe 3 total players on Mustafar (all afk in the cloner mind you) Dath 0 players, Yavin 1 player, Endor 1 player, Corellia 4 players. The whole game is like this now. It is so sad. Where are all these players that fanbios think play this game? I think they are full of shit. These fanbios say this BS just to get people to come back so they will have more players but the truth comes out once you log in.

Yep, I quit Bloodfin about 5 weeks ago due to the lack of people. And the lack of fun.
I still don't understand why $OE hasn't had the brains to take down all the ghost towns and merge some servers.

Rowley from Farstar European here, same with me, I went back to have a look see just before the trai accounts and our city hit metroplis stage around a month before the CU hit, now its a waste land with tributes from the last to leave in the form of Fusion gens scattered around the now empty city, written on them is "This WAS Blue leaves Ceek ADA R.I.P" and then the others have alot of the names of the guild on them as well. Glad I saw it as I had no idea but that really did it for me, alot of us in the guild new and players from Beta had put alot of tie and effort into it and now there is nothing.
I went on at 5pm paris time and traveled to Dant, around naboo, to corolag and then finnished of with talis, kash, dath and finnaly back to MO and saw 12 people, that was around 2 hrs of looking around on an eurpean server from 5 pm paris time untill just before 7 pm.
If several different planets and 12 people dont say it then nothing else can

Which brings me to my next question. If SWG was free to play, do you think more people would play it even with the NGE?

I remember when I could log into Bloodfin at 2AM, be able to easily find buffs (this was before I was myself a master doctor) and find other people to sologroup with and talk to.
That was 2 years ago of course.
I see this explanation a lot, and I don't buy it: If a server is busy, then you should also expect to see lots of people in transit - unless everyone insta-teleports to their spawn camp immediately upon login these days.

I often travelled to Jabbas
to do vette missions. Just after the NGE hit you could find peeps there
doing jabbas theme park. The last months before my sub ran out i never
saw anyone there. This was on bria. Most new peeps on that server was
refugees from other servers. Most of them that i recruited left the
game too.

Um if it was free and NGE would I play, the answer is no, it hold nothing to play, whether i was paying or not I would still get the same crud.
And as for the transit comment........ spot on, you can only fly to another planet via the cites anyway. I was on for 2 hrs at peek time remember plus when I looked at the character creation screen all but 3 of the servers were very light, and the other three were light.
My city all the surounding town and cities and heck even mostly all of the cities on the server are left as ghost towns, I even popped to restuss, I think thats where I saw the whole 12 ppl and 10 of those where Rebs so not even a chance for a fight.
If you want to kill things for free go play an RTS or a first person shooter, alot of them are free to go online and it gets the job done, if you want to quest and grind then play WoW. IMO all of he MMO's that I have played ATM are boring after a max of 4 months.

Yep. The old Axis and Fight cities are all dead. About the only active guild city at the time I left was VOD, mainly because the game's last active crafters are mostly based there.

sorry been following the boards since just after the nge hit and i quit a week later and just needed to get it out of my system heh heh.

Crap I remember Mos Vegas, it poofed years ago. Korolev was agreat place to hunt Krayt after the Cu and I got lost outside of Dune for a few hours as a clone zerging noob.

Mos Vegas was still there when I left. I think it actually moved a short distance away, based right around the Squill Cave.

I resubbed back in March? or April??? Somewhere in that time frame.
I went to my guilds city and it was so painful it physically hurt. No one anywhere. For a whole month no matter where I went except Eisley I could count the people on two hands.
We had over 150 people in our guild .... I saw 2 people on two seperate occasions.
On Obraiks serever and Bloodfin I added about 28 noobs to my friends list in the beginning. Thirty days later .... 3 of them was still playing with any regularity on either server.
