Lack of Creativity?

When I first tried this game, I had high hopes. Then I started playing and realized that more than 50% of the under lvl 4 content was sewers and koboldsimage. Dungeon after dungeon. More sewers, more koboldsimage . Has somebody actually counted the number of instances which feature both of those things? Has to be at least a dozen if not more. It's amazing. Amazingly lame. If you were lucky, you got an undead or a spider. OOOooooh! That really grinds my gears, especially when they have such a varied amount of content to pull from the monster manuals ect. Whatever happened to creativity and diversity?  What the hell were the devs thinking? Did they have to rush the game so much they couldn't do any better? image  To have so much monotonous repetitive content is reprehensible.image

dude i ditched this game under 7 days, cause its was repetitive dungeons, no variety, and it was no more than GUILD wars with a $14.99 a month price tag lol. I dont like abusing myself. I  moved on. Mind you I am a major D&D fanatic, i adore the fantasy realm of D&D. but this game has just doused it in flames with such disrespect and upheaveling misuse. If it improves, I might,.....i repeat might, go back to try.

but there was no content, no nothing really worth playing, and you level so damn fast, and thirdly, by the end of my month it was hard to grab a group  to do dungeons! whats the point of going into a game just to hang out in the damn tavern.

though ill admit i loved the narrative system, the tavern music, and mood it gave. other than that, this game blows. I wished so m uch for it, had high hopes would of rocked and I would be playing now if it was structured better, more content, more variety within  each dungeon, not the same BS over and over and over again.

Well I heard they had a big patch recently where they added new areas/dungeons, and PVP. To the games credit, the graphics are good, my dwarven warrior looked good in his full plate, dual wielding. I felt powerful with my character, which is a great sensation a game can make a person feel. The content and "world" was kinda boring though, that one fatal flaw. And the claustrophobic environment, it didn't give me that epic, sweeping feel some games give when you stare in awe at the world that's been created. I went to a gate, it said it was loading the wilderness, I was thinking "YES, I'm finally getting out, gonna see the world!" But no, it was just a few little looped pathways in the woods, small and restrictive, no view beyond a few feet, with a couple scorpions and wolves to kill. This is the only game where you don't leave the city to go exploring, that's all there is, the goddamn city. This game still has a lot of potential though, I'll keep my eyes on it and maybe one day return.

DDO had potential, but the success or failure of the game depended on the quality of its zones. Sadly, the designers took short-cuts and created generic dungeons populated with stock creatures. Even the sewer of Midgaard was more interesting than your standard DDO dungeon (old circle mud players will get the reference).

If Turbine is finally coming out with original areas, great, but I'm not giving them another chance.
