Heh. Well, everybody is entitled to their opinions.
Although people who bash SOE constantly really bug me, like some punk who got turned down by a hottie so he calls her a bytch everytime someone even mentions her. Awww, so SOE hurt your feelings. Get over it already! They messed up, made a big mistake, and I'm sure that deep down they know it. And contrary to the belief of some, even mistakes count as experience, and we ALL tend to learn from experience. SOE has lots of MMO experience, and therefore I will give any game they produce a fair, unemotional shake before I knock it or praise it.
I give up trying to understand why others can't drop their emotional baggage long enough to do the same.
So I'm cool with SOE. I liked SWG when it first came out, but I was so hooked on Everquest that I didn't play SWG long enough to really fall in love with it, so I had no reason to get upset when SOE and LucasArt beat it up. I'm one of those "EQ was and still is the best MMO ever" folks and so SOE will always have points for giving me that experience that peaked my interest in this genre in the first place.
Everquest 2 is a good game, I liked it at release and I still like it now - but not enough that I am willing to put down Oblivion or not keep holding out for Neverwinter Nights 2 so that I can play it with my husband and girlfriends only. And I'm a busy gal who has to steal time to play 1 game, let alone multiple, so I won't be renewing my subcription most likely until the middle of next year. Heh - and by then some new games will be out or ready to come out soon and poor EQ2 may not get any more love for me, as deserving of my affections it is.
Will I play Vanguard? There is a good chance that I will not. But not because SOE is associated with it - I have no issues with SOE, nor is it because it is an "EQ" rehash. Shallow enough, it is because I don't like the way it looks. I've played games with that look enough that it bores me now, that's the only reason. I will likely be too busy trying some of the new games to have time to give it a chance. Unless the other new games all suck. Or my life changes and I suddenly have ample time to play multiple games.

heres my i like soe, woo hoo for gettin rid of moorgard, the casual mmo dev that did not aggree with casual mmo design. I guess sony can do something right. and might as well say bye to blackguard too, never had any probs with him but it seems he got booted or quit too.

i quoted all of ur posts here in this thread for a reason, lillian. first one, u posted in the Happy thread and ur not happy with SOE. isnt that exactly the same thing u complained at me for doing in the Hate thread? u remember im sure, i posted a positive in the neg. thread, and u got bent out of shape. isnt this exactly the same thing? second thing, u repeatedly called flem a fanboi, but got mad at me for calling ppl haters in another thread, isnt that the same thing? thirdly, ur comment about bias for not playing WOW was obviously an attempt to lure Flem into another flame war (as if u ever need a reason). and i used to find some of ur posts insightful, but lately they r nothing but spite and hate filled posts stating doom for this great game. btw, EQII is alive and strong, its not going anywhere for a while. check the main EQII forums and read some of the WOW players that r now playing EQII. there is alot of them. u oughta see what these former WOW players r saying about ur beloved Blizzard. maybe u oughta go straighten them out, lol.

this guy has to bump the thread, he ran out of soe loyalist. Sad but funny. I would suggest reporting him for this line though, this is more degrading and rude then most his comments and can be classified as several violations.

yeah, but c thats me point, if u dont respect any1 UNTIL they earn it, how will they ever earn it from u? me philosophy is this. i respect every1 until they give me multiple reasons not too. the reason i say multiple reasons is because sometimes ppl just have a bad day and r grumpy. doesnt mean that theyre always like that. so the only reason some1 would not have me respect is if they were constantly a griefer or harrassing me or other forum members for no good reason.
and the reason i said u were being uptight is because when u "warned" me of the bumping, u also reported me, remember? thats not a warning, thats a reporting. and again, i dont know y u got warned on the official forums, but ive bumped a thread or two on there, and they didnt say anything to me. i usually only bump a thread if i feel its abolutely necessary. i dont usually just spam the forums. u can look at me post count and date joining the forums and see that.
