sorry to dig this post up but i didnt want to start a new post for this kind of thing...
Anyways, so i recently got an invitation to go back and i figured wth... so i gave it a go. I'll admit, its better then when the NGE first launched, the classes have spread out some and the expertise system is nice... tho its kinda almost exactly like the talents in WoW.
The community tho is lacking... horribly. I miss the busy cities, the starports you'd avoid at all cost for fear of lag etc... it was nice to know that you never ahd to try for a group... anymore you just solo. Yeah some things are nice but i've had more bugs with it in the past 5days of play then i do in a month of any other games.
Will i stay? No... i wont... despite the fact that i have a fully operational Y-8 and YT-1300 and i might even go get the 2400... i cant say i will... there is just NO community and i get sick of CTD's and the occasional "blue screen of death" when it crashs. I still have a lot of people on my friends list that are playing which i find surprising but i cant say i'll stay... its just... not as good and it never will be.

Are you glad you took the time to peek in again? Did it accomplish anything other then vist the ole stomping grounds? ( just wondering )
It just hardened my resolve that the game now really really sucks. Second free trial, and I couldn't stomach logging in more than 3 days, and I even started a new character to do the "giant piles" of new content.
All the content in the universe can't save that mess of a game system. (I'm not implying the little they added IS "all the content in the universe"... it's barely any. That actually sounded like praise)
