No, the only point of the NDA is to stop people from giving original idea's to other companies, telling somone that the game sucks and is repetitive is far from breaking the NDA. Telling somone how the whole game system works would be.

I agree with other posters on this point: How can anyone say whether a game rox or sux, when you haven't even played it yet?

As you read this topic, you can see very opposing opinions from the current beta-testers, themselves.

I'm looking forward to beta-testing CoH. Then I'll have a better idea of whether I think the game is worth the hype, or not.

In the meantime, I'm reading what the current beta-testers have to say. At least they've actually been inside the CoH world.image

I would have to disagree.  Although the company’s intellectual property is important I've always been under the impression that the NDA is there especially to stop players telling people the game sucks.  The principle being that the game is an unfinished product.  To publicly discredit it would be unfair and misrepresentative to the company and game in question.

As for CoH, never been interested.  Can't stand PvE only games.  Yawn, not my thing at all.  In fact what am I doing in this thread?  Time for me to shut up.

Didn't mean to tread on you toes buster image. I neaver said they were for everyone.  Just that it's a requirement for me.

If you want my opinion of the current MMORPG market (you proberbly don't but tough) it's total tripe.  I haven't been able to play a MMORPG for more than a month or two since my first (AC1 if your wondering).  The reason being I find the same old PvE combat extreamly simple, dull, unenovling, repertive, bla, bla, bla.

If you like PvE I ain't got a problem with that.  If you've got a problem with the fact that I don't, do you think I give a monkeys?

Yes, he broke the NDA by saying the sound was good and gave the Graphics a rating of a 7. Anything that describes the game at all is breaking the NDA. If you said the game was "interesting", that probably would have been ok. You're not saying it's interesting in a good or bad way, so it's not breaking the NDA. Hopefully CoH developers don't read these forums and your nick on the forum isn't the same in the game. LOL!!

You need to read the NDA agreements again then. I'm not going to waste my time pulling one up to prove my point, but it basically says that you can not give any feedback positive or negative concerning ANY part of the game being tested. That's pretty much what he did. Case closed.

I am in the beta as well

I just gave some feedback on how the game was, but apparently from what Xander has said it is against the NDA so I edited, I just have to say I disagree completely with what Dekron says, I guess some games just arent for some people... Seems as if he werent even in the beta looking at some of the things he said... To eaches own...

(Ps... I wonder how anyone could hate movement in this game... image

problem solved..post was edited.  As for the graphics being rated a "7", go to the gamelist and look up CoH, people see the screenshots there and base their opinion on that.  Read Gamepro and the other mags that reviewed CoH, they post what there opinion as well and rate the game.  I gave no specifics.  You should read the NDA over, it states no information on the game for feedback meaning no specifics.  Anyways, the only people getting upset when I say the game is mediocre are you hardcore idiots that have followed the game like some cult (this isn't the same as people that follow the game, I am talking about the people who are obsessed and wait outside cryptic studios just to get a glance of the programmers image) and think that you are part of the game and have some vested interest in it.  As I said before, everyone has an opnion, if you don't agree with it fine, but don't become a flaming jackass because someone disagrees with you.

Easy now fella no ones flaming you.  We are just stating that we believe your earlier posts we a break of the NDA.  As for the above, I don't even like the concept of CoH as stated before.  It looks like a total yawn fest to me.  That still doen't change the fact that I think you broke the NDA (that is if it's like any other NDA I've singed).  Nothing personal, I found the info you gave on the game interesting.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Anyway, why I'm I back here in a CoH thread?  Gluten for punishment me.

I never beta tested a game where you can say "Oh music is nice"  "Oh graphics are so-so".  Graphics especially when they post screen shots.  Now as the NDA does state.  Do not post screenshots or any other information pertaining to the development of the game.  Now if I posted a sound clip, or if there were say certain soundtracks in the game that I said by title, etc. that would be against NDA.  But saying that "I like the sound" is a far stretch saying NDA was broken.  Now, if Cryptic feels that me saying I like the sound and rating graphics based on their screenshots then they can really shove this game down their thraots for being tight a$$ pansies.

edit: and btw, you stated that you believe it is against NDA to say a game "sucks".  Ok lets say you're right.  I never said that it sucked, I merely stated that I personally didn't like it.  The only way that can be breaking part of the NDA is that the NDA states "You cannot say that you personally do not like the game."  You can't base what I said as a review because a review consists of specific information such as gameplay, game mechanics, abilities, description of sound, original screens, and etc etc etc.  About 1000% more detail than anything I said.  I would be in breach of NDA if I said I do not like the game because the gameplay is XXX and the abilities such as XXX are horrible and hey this NPC said XXX to me.  What I said can be applied to any mmog in beta or in the market.  And also what I said is no different than the current previews of CoH in a subscription magazine.
