Exactly. Hopefully everything good about EQ 1 and its predecessors, MUDs, plus addressing EQ 1 and other game's mistakes, whether they be old games like EQ 1 or as new as WoW. Plus, built on this solid foundation, all sorts of revolutionary features, ways to advance your character, immersive next generation world, etc. Check this page out for the info you need to know it's NOT 'just another EverQuest clone'. So when I log into Vanguard, then I can expect diffrent quests then go Kill XX or go find XX? when I log into Vanguard, I can expect something diffrent then the usual grab tank, damage dea,er & healer? I can expect something diffrent then forced grouping? then raiding?

The only thing that concerns me about this game is the lack of meaningful PvP. It appears to be such a huge world, so allowing guilds/factions to war over territory seems natural.
I know PvP options have been hinted at, but my concern is that it won't happen until well after launch, if at all.
Sure, there seems to be quite a few features that aren't in the currently popular MMOs, but when you get right down to it, it's still all about getting together with a group of people to go against computer AI.
I can't wait for this game and my computer will be able to handle Vanguard fine. Regardless I will be upgrading my PC when Vanguard launches so that I can enjoy it on the highest settings possible.
Anyone that says this game looks bland just can't be looking at the same videos and screenshots I am. The world of Telon just looks so enticing to me as a veteran gamer.

I hope you realise that you are seriously breaking your NDA with most of the stuff you posted. Regardless of what you think of their game personally I don't like to see people do that since it makes game companies consider more carefully whether to let random people beta test their games. That amounts to a huge disservice to everyone on these boards.

Exactly. Exactly not. Well...prove us wrong. Graphics dont sell mmorpgs alone anymore...heavy system requirements sap customer-base, and game-play solely against computer generated, predictable, static and redundent mobs is boreing.
Well every single computer game can be defined as belonging to either of two categories, versus computer or versus players if you want to, don't see how having either or both can really be levelled as a "it's just the same old same old, it pits you against a computer or a player yawn" inditement unless you dislike every game ever, clearly not the case or you wouldn't be here.
On the graphics issue looks nice for a beta and a machine that is not just running the game but capturing video at the same time which has gotta slice off a chunk of fps.
