    I personally didn't care for it, but certainly worth the free trial.  Of course there are a lot of Eve supporters on here so you have plenty of people to ask if you have any questions.

       Only thing I can say is ....do not under any circumstances skip the tutorial. If you do, you are going to get very frustrated very fast. The tutorial is long and theres a reason for that.  Anyways, its a niche game and maybe you'l like it.

      Eve sux, but it cant hurt to try it.  You might find out you have absolutely no taste in gaming and actually like the thing.


    It's better be hated for who you are, than loved for who you aren't.

    Personally I enjoy EVE a great deal.  then again I tend to enjoy 'sandbox' MMO's a lot more than 'scripted' MMO's.  If you like frestyle play over scripted play then absolutely give it a try.  There's nothing to lose, it's free.

    EVE is a good game but it's not one that everyone will enjoy.  It's a true sandbox which tends to leave players who want a more scripted (quest oriented) game experience feeling a bit lost and bored usually.  For folks who like to freeform their gameplay it's a wonderful game with limitless possibilitis for you, as the player, to determine your own fate and reputation in the universe.

    Josh, go for it. I try to give any game that piques my interest a shot if they have a free-trial. I hope that it encourages more publishers to also. Since MMORPGs are designed with longevity in mind (and thus increased expense on the consumer's part) free-trials should be the standard. The players should get a chance to test-drive the mechanics and game experience. And I'm not talking about SoE free-trials, those are lame. At least, EQ 2 and SWGs were, when they had the limited, starter "island" trials.

       I inherited the title of Gaming Pope after stabbing the last pope in the back with a sharpened pencil.  Took a few hours but I managed to kill him.

    I remember that!  It was that day when all the seals mysteriously began singing along to that asia song, heat of the moment.

    Now that I think of it that was kind of a weird day...

    Anyway I've played eve, I've quit twice, and I would recommend it.  Its definitely not for everyone but it doesn't deserve to get as flamed as much as it does.  Its a slow game to start and I really think its hard to get a feel of in two weeks, but no harm trying.  Just my only advice is in the beginning try everything, dont just decide you want to be a miner and then do that for two weeks.  Thats kind of boring.

       I questioned your age because from the sort of nonsensical dribble you post, you seem like a 13 yr old trying to show how manly he is by flaming people on a internet forum for no apparent reason.

       Yes we get it...you don't like eve. So don't play just move on. A couple of hundred thousand people who do play, disagree with you.

      Oh and my post had nothing to do with originality. More to do with your implication that anyone who doesnt agree with you must have bad taste in gaming.   Whats next? Will you send peopel hate mail or maybe pay them a visit with a baseball bat for disagreeing with you.


       You're not a tough guy and you're one liners are neither meaningful nor funny. Peopel like you can be described in one word...5 letters...starts with an L and ends with ER. I'm expecting a reply from you in teh next couple of weeks...that should be sufficient for you to figure out the word.

    Give it a try its free with no strings attached after all.

     

    Some basic tips for you are...

    1. Do all the tutorial this game is complex with a verticle learning curve.

    2. When you have done the tutorial its up to you to find your own goals this game doesant find stuff for you to do its up to you to find your own fun.

       I'm not going to play your complicated word games friend. alls I know is EvE is the most boring game out there and people should be informed.  I did say it wouldn't hurt him to try so no idea why you fanbois get all upset.
