I was hyped about this game but I don't have enough money to play two MMOs and I am not about to stop playing FFXI after all the work I put into my characters.

Fun Factor: 5.0 If you like the "Get a mission, find an object, return to person who gave you mission" type of game then this game is for you.

Overall the only originality of this game is that there are super heroes instead of knights or mages and the world is in a city and not a medival land. Nothing else. Well thats about all from me now.

Actually all of those things that you hate I love.

The missions though a bit repetitive in the beggining get better later on.

Graphics, I mean when you're making an MMORPG you have to take into consideration that a lot of people won't have a suped out machine. There are people who still have TNT2's out there. So you have to tone them down a little. Also keep in mind that the game has been in development for over 3 years so the engine might be a little dated.

I love the controls in this game. Can't say much else, NDA.

The AI, I found to be pretty intelligent when compared to other MMORPGs.

It's really too bad that the NDA is in place, I would be able to get more into it.

All you know is that what yo uhave read and seen in Screenshots, you think rocks. In other words you know little about the game as it is now or how close it is to been everything you have read and seen in screenshots. Your aguments hold little water right now.

Personally, I like it, but I am worried about long term appeal. But I guess that is what patches/updates/expansions in mmorpg's are all about. Then again, I am an optimis.

I just hope its not point and click like wish .

Nothing ruined it for me in wish more then looking at that high minimum requirment and find out the game was point and click movement (aka UO style) in 2004!!

And no I am not breaking any NDA it was mentioned in an interview with one of the developers with the link to the site with the interview been on their offical site.

I don't know a whole lot about this game. However, from what I have read, it seems that the main attraction will be character creation. After that, I don't think there will be enough to hold people for very long.

Personaly I wish they didn't have an nda, otherwise I would love to what both of you have to say. To be quitt frank I didn' thave any intrest in this game, and the superhero thing isn't my thing, but after reading aobut the AI and some of the missions, it has happened to get my attention. As soon as the NDA is revoked please give us a full review, I will be more than intrested to read.

Other than that, ther is no way in hell i"m going to preorder COH without some difinitive proff that this game is going to have what it takes. Call me jaded, but I've been bitten to many times recently with mmorpgs that sound new and refreshing only to find nothing but a rehash of what I can already find in DAOC and am refusing to pick up any more titles, before I"ve read some indepth player reviews and or had the opertunity to get my gurbby little hands on it in beta. I'm sick of funding gaming companies only looking to make a quick buck off false promises and doctored screen shots.

Good and interesting posts people! PnC works extremely well in Wish I will say that (not a fan of it in general myself, but I was very very impressed with how well it works in Wish even in a very early beta, Shadowbanes pnc is a joke). Lineage 2 is not worth the time, it's got nothing new/improved except graphics. Other than that it has major grind even in low levels, poor chat system, really repetitive/boring, if your looking for the whole PvP thing look at "Dark&Light", and "Darkfall", they're both looking like something much better! I am looking forward to CoH, but very worried that it will get very boring very quickly, looks like there isn't anything at to do but endless combat... And these whole pre-order things with some kinda hook to get you to buy before release (before the "reviews" come out, not that most "reviews" have any real meat to them) always make me nervous, sounds too much like someone wants to get the money quick before people see the games weakness.

You didnt hype people i think people were hyped up most about the game two years ago. Now people are just getting excited and the hype is substantial bleeding into other people. Especialy some SWG folk, or atleast those are the ones i have noticed most......I remmember makeing the fatal mistake to go with SWG other than CoH cause i ran out of patience....man is being stupid stupid or what....

What I found interesting was their way of handling missions. There's a quote in the Tabula Rasa by Richard Garriott describing the mission system better than I could describe it.

as for the NDA I am pretty sure that stating anything about the game.. Graphicly or Sound wise or the fact you found it repetitive is a break of the NDA.. tho I am not sure..
