Games into movies.

That other post, Movies into games, got me thinking, what games, would make good movies? I for one have already thought of a couple, and I think alot of the old style adventure games would make cool movies, for one, alot of the sierra games, and in particular, the Kings Quest series.

im in the process of writing a script for the first metal gear solid in my head.

cast = solid snake: david morse(hack), girl(forget her name): alison lohman(big fish, matchstick men), sniper wolf: uma thurman(kill bill, monster), vulcan raven: vin diesel(xxx), psycho mantis: any skinny guy, hes got a mask on and his voice would be computer made/altered, so it doesnt matter, or he could be computer generated. liquid snake: undecided. otacon: B.D. Wong(law and order: svu). general guy: gene hackman(runaway jury, the firm). forget who i missed, havent played the game in years.

no not vin diesel, vulcan raven was a big big guy. They would need someone like that big black guy from the green mile. both snakes could be played by hugh jackman

Actually you forgot Olga (can't remember last name). You'd think gamers would remember names of memorable characters in the Metal Gear franchise.

hmm... didnt even think of him. maybe him for solid, but i want david morse for liquid, he needs some exposure. and vulcan wasnt black, was he? i guess i could say my movie is just based on the game and make a few changes, which i probably would anyway.

Maybe a white guy into an indian, but a blackman into an indian? Very doubtful, unless its one of those black people that look almost white by appearance.

Metal Gear Solid is already a movie you watch on your console. Those games have more cut scenes than gameplay...

so true I think metal gear solid lasted me a little less than 8 hours. Very disappointing buy, was more of a renter. Sons of Liberty was even shorter.

Anyhow i always thought Diablo would make a good movie...just my opinion though.

The game I wanted most as a movie is being turned into a movie. If the movie is anything like the game it will be the scariest movie ever made. What am I talking about? FATAL FRAME! That was by far the freakiest game I ever played.

Games I like to see as a movie:

Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo, MGS (Great Cut scenes and thats why I like MGS because it was a movie/game), and Fallout.

Those are the games I would like to see turned into movies.

Love your enemys, it will drive them crazy.

A good game to become a movie would be to go back in time and make sure that crappy "Resident Evil" excuse for a movie was not made, and base a New Resident Evil Movie on RE2! That would be awesome, they totally went the wrong way with the movie they made, I know some of you might be fans of it, but personally, I hated it. If the gamers! made the movie we would have done a way better job. You could have the following cast:(Note: THIS CAST IS FOR HUMOR ONLY!)

Leon= Hugh Grant, Id love to see this guy get attacked by zombies

Claire= Pamela Anderson (Bounce, Bounce)

Mr.X= Gary Coleman...err maybe not,lol

Chris Redfield= George W. Bush

All Zombies = Calista Flockhart duplicated,lol

I dunno i think a good game made into a movie would be MAX PAYNE BOYAH oh yah that would be like nominated cuase of hardcore action i love that game beat both ahah easpicially with first gotta shot those things to make heli fall down BOOM

If anyone has been following the development of DOOM 3, I honestly believe if anyone could make a movie from the game and its' predicesors Doom and Doom 2, it would sell. And i mean sell...

Also the Wolfenstien Series... Now thats a realistic plot that could turn some serious heads for a movie.
