I fell in love with the "storybook" style of that game right from the start! It really seems to be a rock-solid game. Actually, TCoS will be my first Fantasy type game...I've always strictly been a Sci-Fi guy in the past but...
Yup I can't wait for it. I really, truly feel that TCoS is going to be one of those sleeper hits that the industry hasn't had in a long while. The hype on it as it is remains subdued and I see that as nothing but good.
I also love the fact that it's a game that revolves around a story and not a story that revolves around a game, I love the fact that you'll be able to go back in time (and sometimes forward) to change (in real time) actual game play elements. I love that people will affec the world and not just be part of some sort linear arena that really never does anything and I love the styling of the game, the Fable meets High Fantasy thing really appeals to me.
Everything from shard conquests to live events, I think this is going to be a real blast and the developers are top notch and putting some serious time and thought into fun factor and role play, which I feel the industry sorely, sorely needs right now.
The nice thing too is that I really don't think of TCoS as a pure fantasy game, sure it has those aspects but it has lots of sci-fi and dramatic tones which again, is a nice to see come around.
I use to chat on the IRC quite a lot...but it became filled with bootlicks who were trying to get into beta, so I left.
TCoS has been in closed beta for more than 18 months now...that's a very good sign. I think this ones gonna be a keeper! But if it's not...I'll give it the boot!

I downloaded and began playing TSoR four days ago...I gave it the boot and uninstalled it last night.
First let me praise Nevrax for having the most realistic fire that I've ever seen in a MMOPG.
Now for the strikes against...
1) Character creation is a pathetic joke in TSoR...hehe, one of the tattoo choices was purple fish scales on your characters cheeks!
2) Forced grouping to complete silly, ill-conceived missions...on the other hand, some of the missions that I soloed were so tedious that I actually had to take little breaks to grind for xp just to keep from getting disgusted! (I completed all the missions for all four classes.)
3) I had to call upon their customer service department three times in as many days! The last incident (couldn't log on) prompted me to go ahead and uninstall the game and delete the folder.
Thank god most of these games have free trials!
of the many topics and posts i have read TSoR has alot more going for it than other games granted its not a game for everyone which is probably a good point after playing WoW for 18 months i feel i wasted alot of my time should have packed it in long ago. If you had of read the posts they actually tell you that the trial is mainly to learn about the game. I am looking forward to playing TSoR the mainland sounds much more of a challange than other games around. I hate having someone hold my hand throughout the game which this game definitly does not do no weapon or armor drops no stupid quests sounds like a real challenge.I will post again soon after playing the game which in my opinion has some of the best comments on mmorpg.com

That's about the most subtle insult I've seen in a while. Not.
You obviously think Ryzom players are simpletons with no taste who would be happy playing Candy Land.
