runescape is shit, it was my first rpg tho, it gets you used to the rpg worlds, its really complete tho, it has good quests just shitty graphics and its boring, but i did get to lvl 67 lol
Runescape was my first MMO too! -.- I've played it for 3 years (yes, 3 wasteful years of getting a character to level 100...) and then i noticed there were other mmo's out there.
My first mmo also... it would be a great game if it had about 10X better graphics!! And if they do make a 3 i hope is is one you dowload or buy instead of trying to make it a browser again... that game was so freken adicting!!
Runescape 3 would kick alot of butt. They would need new skills and more character customization though. Gameplay>Graphics anyday for me. Everyother MMORPG is a Clickfest too. Runescape was one of the few MMORPGs that kept me for more than 2 days...others being (Asheron's Call, Graal Online, Ultima Online, Martial Heroes(very strange that I played this for a few weeks.))

Check out WURM and then let Jagex tell you they are the best at java lol. WURMs graphics with RSs gameplay would be something. Unfortunately, Jagex thinks you can't do better in java than what they have lol.
This game actually evolved from Runescape -> Runescape 2 -> Runescape 3 It's still alive!!!?

I remember playing the first version... there wasn't much distinction in the map... i always get lost.. the game where i tape pieces of A4 paper together and drew map out of it >.< I forgot what got me addicted to it... wasn't so memorable except the trouble i went thru getting to places w/o getting lost...
as far as i know runescape 3 has always been a myth. i dono why there are so many web pages promoting it. i guess one reason is because on those web pages there are lots of adertisements having nothing to do with it. alot of people seem to search for runscape 3 now adays.
lol..everyone is saying that RS was there first mmo..I started to play MMOs before that game even came out. My first mmo was everquest, started when I was 11 or 12.
lol rs was my first mmorpg aswell lol! but i doupt they will brign rs 3 out becuase no web based game could handle gw graphics unless they bring a game u buy in the shops out id actualy give that a go if it came out because they have siome gr8 ideas

lol it took you 3 years to get a level 100 charecter it took me and my m8 a little under a year to get to level 105 and level 97 for him
Everquest online adventures was my first MMO ever, and I was introduced to Runescape while playing EQOA. Runescape was actually a very good game before Runescape 2. Then now this is what it is "Watn 2 buy mi grilfreind? lawllllz". So now its GAY as hell and I would never consider playing that game again. And no you can't have good graphics in a Java game. Unless they decide to release it as an official .exe lol. But seeing as how they probably suck ass at being good, then I wouldent get my hopes up for a Runescape 3.
yea we really shouldnt hate on runescape i think that everyones played that game once in there life atleast on a friends account it really taught us the ways of the rpg so runescape will always be a legend even if you dont like it
Runescape wasnt my first, my brother wouldnt let me play a game that boring, graphics, animations are so dull. its not very complete weapon selection is poor, no decent forms of transport how ever you could fish and mine............................................ So can WoW but a million times better...... They wont make another RS, because if people wanted graphics improved, they'd take it off java and you'd have to download........ and then all the nOObs mum and dads wouldnt let them download it so they'd cry.........................
