Hey everyone,

People complain about not being able to level properly normally on FFXI due to people being advanced. Quite a few new people have joined FFXI and they are all around levels 4-9 at the moment. this is a major group of abour 40 people so there is always someone to party with. If you are interested then message me now for a world pass

    I'm starting out and would love to join up with Fenrir peeps.  One question though, Euro times for all or are some in US? US est here. thanks waiting for Worldpass.

    Well unlike many other games you do not need to restart you character to start a new job, so I always found that there were lots of low level characters around.  Even without new players I don't think you should have any trouble finding people you're level to party with.

    Unless there is one specific job you need to find.  Then you will never ever ever find it.

    if that job is an advanced job then there is a smaller chance but all the popular training spots have tons of people seeking

    Its like kids with sweets, too many to chose from...

    Based on the things i've read in this forum, its inspired me to try FFXI, so today i went out and bought the game plus the expansions. I'm a former Lineage 2 grinder so thats nothing new to me but one thing that is very important to me is the community, i'm curious if Fenrir has a good selection of people that are courteous and friendly. People that are all around making a nice community to be a part of is what i'd wish to experience as this is the first time i've joined a game without knowing anyone at all.

    UnrealSwat, what do you think of Fenrir, and how's the community and economy?

    Well the economy, to be honest things are a little expensive for a rdm like me cause it is dark magic, white mage and warrior stuff you have to buy to keep up. Only a little bit expensive.

    The community is incredible, as kaizer would tell you I do enjoy Power Leveling people image
    Everyone is very respectful of each other and everyone protects each other. If a strong monster was to aggro a party of six then at least one of them is bound to provoke it off you guys so you can escape. the unwritten rule of ffxi is respect. if you are disrespectful people wont party with you. if you cant party then progress becomes more difficult.

    If i had to rate fenrir out of ten i would give it a 9.7 out of 10, the tiny bit of price rise weights it down a little.


    This is an honest opinion from a seasoned adventurer on many mmorpgs.

    Fenrir wont disapoint

    9.7 out of 10 eh? thats a high rating hehe, I wonder how THF and NIN gear fairs up on Fenrir, i've hearded constantly its expensive and sometimes more than others. I'm deffinately interested in joining you however i can from what you're telling me about the community and how they respect each other, thats what i'm looking for. I'm Deminas on Bismarck, how would i come to Fenrir?

    Thf's not bad (They usually sub ninja... keep reading for Ninja details >.>), But Ninja is one of the most expencive jobs. Primarly because Ninjitsu uses tools. Ninjitsu acks like a normal spell, but instead of consuming MP it comsumes Tools. Each Cast takes 1 kind of tool, Tools stack to 99. Debuff tools (Ones that cast, Blind, Paralyze, Slow) You may only use 50(tools) or so Per party These will be the most expencive, (10k-30k per stack, But they're more powerful than Mage Casted Debuffs). Though, You'll use a few stacks of Shihei per party (Utsusemi Tools, For blink Tanking). Shihei is like 5k a stack.

    So, Per party it'll cost about 30k Just in tools, not counting food & equipment costs.

    I think UnrealSwat isnt able to get a world pass at the moment but if
    anyone else can get one for me on fenrir, i'd like to give this a shot.

    Hello, I just recently got FFXI had it for 2 days and as an Australian would like to get into a server with some locals :)

    From what i read fenrir sounds good i was placed in bismarck, Its quite
    a big challenge getting used to everything this game has on offer, I'd
    love to join a linkshell that wouldnt mind helping out a beginner just
    a little.



    I'm LVL 5 war mainly because i couldn't decide how i wanted to play the game and it seems the best place to start,



    anyway hope to hear from you guys soon, might just pop in and try a mission or two.

    guess i'll start making / deleting a character to see if it sticks me on fenrir, i've heard it takes a good while to get the server you want heh.

    well i tried about 10 times, took me a while hehe but i think i'm somehow locked on cerbrus, well anyhow if anyone can still help with a worldpass it would be nice. image

    If you have more than 1 character, you'll always land on the same server & when landing on servers you go to the ones with the lowest population, Looks like Cerbrus is that atm >.>

    sorry i am no where near any zone with a possible shop for a world pass. me and this girl i know are heading on later, I will go on ahead to go to bastok to meet her. I will sell some stuff and buy a world pass for you guys. I will try to post back within the hour image

    Its no problem, anything to help out the community. I know that by atleast acting nice myself it shows to other people that pointless flame wars are stupid and maturity shows progress in this forum.

    I have added items to the Auction House (AH in FFXI speak) and I will get the world pass as soon as possible :D

    im starting up again too but ill try and get fenrir so you dont have to pay for a damn world pass. ill write back with my character name too. is there still a constant need for whm's?

    yeah, I am just doing the endless update right now.  No clue about whms, but that is what I used to play, this time I think I am going to go for ninja since they are usualy are in extremly high demand high lvl.

    ninjas and red mages are REALLY expensive (red mage is for sure :S)

    I will get a world pass as soon as possible.

    One note though: I cant be online 24/7 of course and while it is an honour to get mail as well as these posts please dont send more then one message because I am only gonna read the first one you sent, dont worry about spelling mistakes or anything I dont judge anyone on that.

    Lifes been a bit hectic at the moment so I havent got any further with getting that world pass, I almost have enough money so I might try to get one on friday but I wont be on FFXI until friday cause I have tons of coursework at the moment

    yeah I know ninjas are expensive as heck, most expensive class in the game.  Most mages can be costly also for the spells and such, but after that they are not thaaaaat bad! =)

    I wouldn't say Ninja's are the most expencive class, Rangers are pretty friggin expencive. But the two are the most expencive Jobs in compairison to the others.
