We didn't miss it. We were appalled by it. The meaning of a Senator and a Dev putting out some shyte like that is not lost on anyone on these forums. It's simply more reason for the former players to be glad they are no longer contributing to the Dev's salary pool at SOE.

That was an extremly funny post, I went from confusion to fascination to pure enjoyment. Great work, and some funny reflections of juvenile writing techniques. Pure enjoyment! Its sad that you can't take it for what it is, entertainment, but then... Sense of humor is only for the few chosen, the rest have dirty limericks.

It should be thrown with great force"

The content alone is not sufficient to qualify as amusing. It´s who it comes from that counts, and where it is posted in,too. This "funny" post would have been reported as trolling if it came from anyone but a senator or dev, and the SWG forums in general are not widely known for sense of humor these days, except for those that find censorship funny.

I don´t. When the censor is the only one allowed to be humorous, then humor isn´t funny. And -check out the forum heading- most people who frequent here had enough sense of humor to put up with SWG until NGE, some even longer. That´s more humor than anyone can ask for.

It looked to me to be at least partly composed from that auto-complaint generator web site.  Like Dookseid, I didn't need to read very much of it to get the point, and jump to the bottom. Yes, a senator and a dev are bothering to indulge, once again, in behavior that would have consequence for the rest of the posters.

    Whatever.

Nothing to see here, move along.

I get it but it should be in GAT and not gameplay discussion per their own rules.  It makes me believe that Dodece's thread about the devs being fired is true.  They are acting like people who have given (or were given) their two week notice and the pressure is off and they are all giddie.

    Strange behavior.

What I "get" from it is that while the Devs may not have officially been fired already, they certainly know that it's inevitable at this point.  So they are poking the players with a sharp stick.  After all, the failure of SWG is our fault, we who merely subscribe, who SCREAMED at them NOT to do the CU and then the NGE, not the morons who did both.

After all, don't we live in an age and society where we now blame the victims and excuse the perps?

Those are pretty much the only people left playing SWG. Anyone who did not fit that description already cancelled.

It's amazing how many people fit into category #3, though... including some of my friends from SWG, who are otherwise quite intelligent. But when it comes to SWG they just have a big blind spot.

Oh, we get it all right.  If it weren't for double standards SOE would have none.

Many of us do this now..but without the exceptional buff part. Please..if what you are really asking for is an edge providing buff..just come out & say it instead of wrapping it up in something you think we'll go for. Check out your server's Events sticky in the server forum, ask performing entertainers or members of the roleplay community on your server about the local show circuit & I'm sure they'll be happy to provide you with schedules and locations of events you can attend.

We also hold cross-server entertainer events where entertainers from different servers go to each other's parties. I'm late for one of those right now!

    LOL how insulting is that?

I am for entertainers having more of a purpose in SWG. I am for BF, Wounds, Buffs etc.

I enjoyed the days of the old. Being dependent on one another to be successful

A extra buff or some bonus for attending a theatre is meant as a incentive.

I also believe a extra buff for attending a theatre makes more sense. Would not a theatre show be more inspiring then just heading over to the local cantina?

SWG also has beautiful theatres throughout the galaxy. It is a really shame they aren't put to use.

Sure I could ask around and with time or money acquire some entertainers that will put on a show for me at such and such theatre but that isn't the same. I want to see more of a official purpose for entertainers in the game.

I think it would be great to be able to take a look at the newsnet terminals and see where the theatre is taking place this week. Checking out new places.

Why did we move away from BF, and wounds etc?

What is so bad about taking a break from combat and just listening to some music and conversing with others in the cantina?

Also we are only talking about a short break from lengthy combat sessions. I never had a problem with it.
