I'm reading all these posts from you SWG refugees who are resubbing, all I have to say is shame on you.
Have you fought against SOE all this time for nothing? What's next, are you going to buy the SWG complete boxset?
Don't fall for SOE's lies, haven't we learned anything from the past? Remember how they forced the NGE on us even though most of the players where totaly against it?
How could you guys betray your pre-cu veteran brothers this way? I just threw up in my mouth a little bit just thinking about it.
I guess we should all just give up and resub, form a guild, name it "SOE-RULz" and be done with it!......well I don't think so!!
Some of us will NEVER give up the fight for SOE to give us back the game we loved.

I started SWG in 2003, quit as soon as NGE went live, so I can safely say I wont be giving any $OE scum bags a penny of mine again until classic servers go live or a rollback is announced.

Only way i will ever go back is for pre-cu.
I did my bit this week,my mate who i live with said he wanted to try out swg again to see what it was like and could he use my credit card to sub for a month. (i payed for our toons b4 the curb)I told him to p!ss right off.
I left SWG the day before the NGE went live. I uninstalled the game and never re-activated, or used any trial.
The way I see it, everytime someone re-activates, or uses a trial, SoE can actually say that the NGE is at the very least starting to draw the attention of Vets again no matter how brief the stay is. Wich in thier minds, means they are on the right track. Im not going to contribute to that.

The fires of the rebellion simmer still in my heart as well. Smed himself said if we did not like the changes then by all means go play some other game.
That speaks volumes. firstly it says " Hey we really dont care about having you as a customer Theres the door".
And it tells me they do not desire to provide me with an enjoyable experiance and would be better served at there competitors game.
= Soe doesnt want my business /shrug i was prepared to open a second precu account, i have spent at least 500$ in new games since then there loss is someone elses gain.
I have very little hope for preCu servers, but its not about that anymore its about SOEs gross mismanagement of what should of been the greatest MMO of all time and there total lack of respect for there customers and unethical business practices.

I started SWG right after it came out and stayed with it for about 2 months after the NGE,.. I can truly say that I went at the NGE with a very open mind and I wanted to like the NGE, I have it 2 months and I got out of it and I can tell you I will not go back.
I have seen the lies, distrust, and more from SOE and it has made me sick.. so much so that I have not and will not buy another product from them.. it's to bad to because I wanted toget a Sony TV and I just could not bring myself to it.

I know about the free trial smacktard, I was refering to the people who have "resubbed". Still yet shame on you for even going back into the game on a free trial after all the smack you've talked about SOE.

I agree with you 100%, many of my fellow exiles have gone crawling back like Robert Downey JR to the local crack dealer. All of them having sworn an oath never to touch it again on pain of death! Their weakness disgusts me, even as you read this Jestorrodo is swinging his lightsaber with the other 3 players on his server no doubt!
It's not the game but it's the company, the way I see it they're giving money to smed and helios to "kill/loot/repeat" WoW style in a Star Wars skin. If you want to play SWG again and give money to smed that's fine, just don't bother justifying after what you've said in the past, all the "doing a study to see hoe SWG has progressed" just doesn't justifying paying Helios' wages in my opinion.

We all got a free 21 days they asked us to come back and see how messed up it was.
I don't see a swarm of vets with common sense going back man, I just don't. Crap, for that matter I don't see alot of non-vets with common sense going back.
If you just look at everything from Helios on to what they have done down.... there is NOTHING that shows any type of success, or even progress into what they thought the NGE could be.
The whole thought of them bringing back things as damage control just proves this.
The things they are bringing back they never planned on, they are now trying to hold on to what they have left... a little to late in most respects.
Is it to late? Yes... 6 year old engine, more bugs then any game I think I have ever seen since my first Atari console, with a Franchise name that has a following not to mention the captain of the ship even abandoning it.
Yeah... SWG is done.

We already knew JestorRodo was a clown. The only reason he wasn't playing the game to begin with was because SOE wouldn't let him. To find out that they finally gave up and ignored his antics in order to regain another sub doesn't surprise me; they really had no reason to keep him away as long as there was nobody left for him to offend.

I didn't bother with my 21 day trial on my accounts, nor wil I. Nothing can change as long as NGE is in place. Regardles of how much they polish the turd and put pretty ribbons on it, or put a candy scent on it, it's still a turd.
NGE is the foundation built in the sand. It can't hold a decent game.
I've pretty much given up any hope of playing our beloved game again. I fear it's too late even if they did open classic servers now. I don't think the ducks will ever pull off a functional game either. I'll have to be content with giving my money to SOE's competitors. I played WoW for awhile, tried EVE, and now I'm gonna give CoH/CoV a try. SOE will never see any of my money. I still won't buy any LucasArts games either. (That part really sucks. Being a HUGE SW fan it's hard. I used to buy anything with the LA name on it.)
I'll still stop in here periodically to see what's going on, but I've lost all hope of playing Pre-CU again.
