I know some of you are so into your level 60 paladin hitting the same uber hotkey repeatedly and doing the 4 millionth "go kill X creature and come back to me" quest that you fail to see the reality of my analogy.

One of my personal problems with WoW was the content. 7.5 million x $15 a month, you'd think that would be enough for a high staffed content team, but the content updates come so slow that every time a patch is released, people complain because it has nothing for them and now they have to wait another 3 months. Why they don't hire more people and make the game as great as the numbers make it out to be is beyond me
It really is both sad and funny just how pissed off people get at the truth sometimes. Hell, McDonalds isn't so bad. I just ate breakfast there yesterday. Cheap, tasty, and filled me up when I was short on time. But I'm also not about to claim that McDonalds is the best breakfast I have ever eaten.

They actually grill real hamburger meat that they form in their kitchen as opposed to the pre-formed factory packaged patties at McDonalds. The local burger place uses fresh LOCAL vegetables like lettuce and hand sliced tomatoes and onions. The buns are baked in their own kitchen from a home-made recipe. The fries are hand cut and rinsed just before being cooked. The difference between my hometown local burger joint and the McDonalds is like night and day. The quality and care given at my hometown joint blows the McDonalds care and quality away so much it's not even funny. My hometown burger joint is downtown off of the beaten path just a little. The McDonalds sits flashing it's neon sign 24/7 right by the only major intererstate crossing through my town. I'd guess that McDonalds probably sells about 100 times the volume of meals that my hometown joint does.

You cant compare sci-fi MMO with fantasy, and the fact is there isnt a fantasy MMO with the same quality as WoW.
I've been playing WoW for 2 years, and havent renewed my account, but its the longest i've ever subscribed to a MMO. I'm waiting for Conan, warhammer or whatever to fill my empty stomic now.
They hardly make a billion a year since if you choose to only pay for 6/12 months you only pay like 7-8$ month, and the 2 million or so chinese pays per hour and not monthly, so they pay like 4-5$ a month.
But so what if they make a billion a year? WoW Is a nice portal into the MMO world for the masses and when their stomic is empty after a year or two like mine, they will seek out other MMOs. Its good for the MMO community.

It really is both sad and funny just how pissed off people get at the truth sometimes. Hell, McDonalds isn't so bad. I just ate breakfast there yesterday. Cheap, tasty, and filled me up when I was short on time. But I'm also not about to claim that McDonalds is the best breakfast I have ever eaten.

Actually, its because they don't care. people go to McD's because the food taste's good, and thats all that matters. easting junk food isn't healthy anyway, doesn't matter if you eat at McD's or any other fast food restaurant.
You cant compare sci-fi MMO with fantasy, and the fact is there isnt a fantasy MMO with the same quality as WoW.
I've been playing WoW for 2 years, and havent renewed my account, but its the longest i've ever subscribed to a MMO. I'm waiting for Conan, warhammer or whatever to fill my empty stomic now.
They hardly make a billion a year since if you choose to only pay for 6/12 months you only pay like 7-8$ month, and the 2 million or so chinese pays per hour and not monthly, so they pay like 4-5$ a month.
But so what if they make a billion a year? WoW Is a nice portal into the MMO world for the masses and when their stomic is empty after a year or two like mine, they will seek out other MMOs. Its good for the MMO community.
