The MMOs I'm really looking forward to in 07' are:

    1) AoC - developed from the ground up with PvP and sieges in mind

    2) WAR - Mythic and DAoC, need I say more

    3) Aion - NC Soft has seldom failed to deliver (except for Auto Assault)

    4) Chronicles of Spellborn - Unique combat and PvP system (but there are mixed reviews about it)

These are higher quality MMOs with an arguable innovative edge unlike the other generic MMOs being churned out faster than you can say George Washington.

9 Dragons is really terrible, I tried the Viet OB and it is nothing new at all. Graphics-wise even Silkroad Online beats it flat.

As for WoW's BC, I'm just dead bored of the whole WoW system and find it unlikely that I may go back, depends on how the PvP end game is finalised.

Well I'm looking forward to Pirates of the Burning Sea and you didn't mention that one.  I can't wait to blow up stuff with the cannons!

    AoC

    Vanguard

    Something else.

I think Warhammer looks incredibly boring. I was so excited when they first announced it. I've been playing WFRP for over 15 years. But the latest iteration looks terrible. Have you seen their most recent video?
They proudly proclaim that it's all in-game footage.
I couldn't even watch 2 minutes of the most exciting parts of the game. That was the high-res version, too.

    1. AOC ( can't wait 2Q)
    2. WOW expansion
    3. Warhammer (either in beta or live game 3Q or 4Q)
    5. Vangaurd saga of heroes (heard rumors 3Q)
    6. 9 dragons ( omg street fighter mmo who wouldn't love it) 1Q or 2Q
7.Huxley (FPS version of mmo with cross gaming between pc and platforms i.e. 360)
This year is going to suck for me for gaming because I want it all. Unfortunatley we all know that MMO's require time to play and with this hit list who is going to have time for RL. I am eagerly looking forward to it but also cringing at the same time.

    1) AoC - I get the feeling this will have "content" issue's, or the lack there of. I need to read up more on this one though.

    2) WoW -  canceled players will head back to WoW in mass and stay for months/year(s).

    3) Warhamnmer - I dont see this one being big, feels like a wow rip-off. Mythic and EA...neither knows jack about making a "good" mmorpg..

    4) Vanguard - EQ clone , dumbed down somewhat.. see EQ2 numbers with a steep drop off after 30-60 days.

    5) 9 Dragons - Not worth mentioning

    6) Huxley - Not worth mentioning

    7) Star Trek - Heard alot of positives (could be a strong sleeper for "game of the year")

    8) LOTRO - Not worth mentioning.

    9) Guild Wars - Their next chapter needs to re-invent, their bleeding off their US fanbase and now L2 is basicly supporting GW.

Darkfall, and only Darkfall. It's the only game with anything interesting about it.

Well I don't have the time or money to play every mmo that looks like it might pique my interest, so I'm going to have to be a little discerning.  I'm foaming at the mouth for Star Trek Online, but that's still quite a ways away.  AoC looks cool, could be interesting.  At first, was looking forward to Vanguard, Spellborn, and PotBS, but think I'll wait to see some reviews and find out more before I run out and buy them.

Warhammer was the one that really jumped out at me, after playing tabletop version for quite a while.  I had hoped that they would make the mmo out of 40k rather than Fantasy, as I think that would translate well to mmo and there really aren't that many good sci-fi/futuristic games on the market.  That didn't happen, so I was waiting patiently to hear that my beloved Skaven would be a playable race, but of course that didn't happen either.  I understand why they're using the races that they are, but besides Chaos, they're the same races offered in every other fantasy mmo out there, and I think including unique Warhammer races like Skaven would really help them establish their own identity.  Oh well, guess I'll ask Santa for about 5 free trials this Christmas.
