My main is on Bria who i respecced to a spy level 80, but I did most of my testing so far on my old BH/Pistoleer on Radiant who's been knocked down to level 65 so I respecced him to jedi, then to smuggler.
I am still getting over the first hurdle of keymapping, which is kind of annoying since I want auto attack to start once I activate a special from the toolbar or doubleclick on the opponent. It's been bloody annoying to get this sorted so far but I nearly have the Radiant toon up and running, then I can copy the settings to my main and try him out.
I have seen some pvp on Bria, not Restuss (haven't been there yet), in Bestine and Theed but obviously not as much as I saw pre-cu and cu.
It's all a bit daunting to try out the game again and now all my gear is now rubbish and I'm left clueless in a world I no longer know. I could just try RP'ing as the spy who has amnesia I suppose, a bit like the Bourne Identity but with rubberbanding.
I've lasted longer in the NGE than I did last time but it remains to be seen how long I stick it out.
Wanted to find a group to do something.. anything... DWB? Vette? Geno Cave?
Nada. Nobody at any of the gathering places for them. Nada.
At least space hasn't been raped. Fun flying around for a bit until I realized soloing Vettes only goes so far.

It worked, and there was never any good reason to change it. They swapped it out, and the targeting/combat intiation has been a mess ever since.
I've still got that SWG shortcut on my desktop, and just like Shayde, have no desire to click it.
Went in because one of the 3 people I know who is sticking it out (doesn't like the nge, but can't leave the game) e-mailed me and asked if he could sell/donate my stuff to a new verterans project to help noobs out. That, and finance the museums. (Now that they turned back on maintenence... with crafting dead as disco, where do you make creds now?).
So I did.. willed my 2 storage houses and 3 factories to him. Walked around a bit.
Hopped in the hot tub, logged out. Doubt I'll ever log in again.

I'm going to post here my state-of-mind GONZO journalistic impressions on what a year of idocy have done to the game I loved. First to find out how to remove that stupid third person-shoulder-view.
when i thought of SWG the worse part is not the NGE or the piss poor CSR's or shitty managment or even the buggs. the bit that could really make you cry is the weekends in the NGE no one plays no one loggs on its a barron playground for the most part. Hunted by the ghost of yester-year the ghost of people spamming selling all they can just to amke ends meet.
its the feeling of everything has been done and nothing is left to explore. then harping back to a time when fighting was a problem for the endless tells sent by countless friends, now sadley lost to the abyss of the NGE. the real killer is the loss of hope in the NGE the danger has all gone and nothing is left to fight for.
At least SWGemu is moving forward. Slow, but sure. I didn't have hope for it in the past, but now I do.
