If they wait any longer they will go up against AOC and some other MMO's that are heavy hitting entries. Lotro is a good pve game and the dev's do a good job with the community.(from what I have heard ) Age of conan is set for June and will be cross platform mature rating game. Heavy pvp. My guess is that if they do not release now they will have a hard time at grabbing the market end of 1st and 2nd quarter. I know alot of people were looking forward to this game. I was one but from what i have read here I will wait and see what happens after launch. Maybe I will go buy a big Mac meal with my extra cash.
sorry but what is a pre-order box ? does it have a disk with game files you install and wait for release or is it just a box you can drool over whilst you wait for the real game to come out? what with recent mmo releases i cant say im hot on the topic of pre-orders

It is just a box instead of a reciept sometimes they put in special offers or free trials to other games made by that manufacturer. Sometimes it has a beta key as well.
This game will be very good. When it will be a game, everybody go to play. Everybody prefer medievals MMORPGs, but it is a special, it's a MMo with the dark places perfects, look at the screenshots (down), you can see some dark places for free account. Look this picture:

HMMM no listing on main Uk shippers, 2 of the biggest just have a blank icon with Vanguard TBA , thank god im emirgrating this July to Ontario , of course late european release dates is not my reason for moving , but does feature in my top 75 reasons for getting the hell out of the UK...

Actually people are getting really anoyed on the sigil forums because the pre-release seams to be only available in the states.
But they sent this very post as an email to all members worldwide. and now it turns out we cant actually get a pre-order box for love nor money from anywhere outside of the states.
In fact people have been asking around everywhere in europe and no european retailer has even heard of a pre-order version.
Sigil seem to be refusing to answer any of the many quieries on their forums so maybe MMORP.com can get something out of them.

Yeah I ordered mine about 2 months ago and its past the 5th and I bought 1 day shipping. So now I am paranoid that someone stole my mail or it was lost in shipping.

Speaking for myself and about 30 friends (many of whom have given up on this genre or so it seems), if Vanguard turns out to be like pre-Luclin EverQuest 1, we'd each sign up in seconds. It would be like the PS3 rush, without the camping out.
I'll check the various stores tomorrow. I'm positive that at least one store in the greater New York metropolitan area has some boxes.
I checked my order online from gamestop and it hasn't even shipped yet. From what I have heard on the official forums is if you get the preorder and make an account you can get as far as the server selection screen, but there are no servers to play on. Even if you get the preorder box you still can't play yet.
