WW3 has been raging for almost 2 decades now. It's mainly an economical war with great consequences for each country/alliance.
Wars (the old version) are just too expensive/resouce consuming to be profitable. Remember the world is practically ruled by capitalism. No, not the free masons, jews, elvis impersonators or the roswell aliens. Just the concept/ideology.
It's much, much more rewarding to wage war in the economic spectrum. This also causes financial losses and even more loss in lives than the cold war caused.

Face it. Conquering a country is something really, really hard. And not to mention absolutely pointless. 100% without meaning o justification. Harmful for everyone, And usually most for the invading country.

I'm sure that if every countries government decided to have a war just to satisfy the on going arguments by fat little teenagers over the Internet so that every countries military decided to go and invade every other country, not for the sake of any objectives just to see who's got the biggest m-peens (military peens) then yes, America would stand a good fucking chance of winning, as well as Japan and China etc. Congratulations, I'm sure you elitists are so happy now that you have something to be proud of as you sit at your computers making endless YTMND's about chuck norris, and you can finally forget about your countries obesity levels and your countries shit culture (which seems to consist of pointing out ethnic minorities, suing everyone and complaining about everything) because at least your army can PWN everyone else's. England, France, Germany, Italy, China, Mongolia, India, US, Bahamas, South Africa, Egypt, Spain, Switzerland, and thousands and thousand of islands.
But, those are just the ones off the top of my head.
England, France, Germany, Italy, China, Mongolia, India, US, Bahamas, South Africa, Egypt, Spain, Switzerland are not permanently conquered...Each of these countries is free and govern themselves according to their own will, there is not outside source that directly controls and monitors them.
There are islands that have been permanently conquered, however that permanently conquered bit ends as soon as it becomes established under its own government again...
EDIT: You could say that the US permanently conquered America from the Natives, but bringing up that would be rediculous, as you could apply that same logic to every nation that exists today, and birngs the entire argument out of context. I.E. Saxons took Britain from Rome which eventually turned into G.B. as it is now etc etc...

If you're a history major you should know that all those countries (at least most of them) are not governed by their native peoples. The native peoples were either wiped out or forced to move. I'm not a History Major but I'm a huge history buff.

I know that, but I also made it clear that I wasn't counting those as being "permanently conquered" as we are currently using it in this thread. From what I can tell people are using the term in this thread to mean: one nation or established country gaining dominance over a different nation or established country and governing it themselves. Much like the Spain/Philipino agreement and subsequently the U.S./Philipino [lack of an] agreement.
