Thats not going to last very long...

It was just a ploy to sell the players another box before the game burns out.......

This will keep some bored lvl 60+ players occupied for another 3-6 months and put a ton of money in blizzards pocket. THe expansion was a cop out plain and simple. In the time they have had to work on it they should have come up with something far more substantial than BC.

    This games days are numbered......

I think that that is actually impossible to do. Blizzard said it would take as long to get 60-70 as it would 1-60 and you cannot get to 60 in one day.

Its a race now to see who can get to 70. I think a lot of people are going to be hitting 70 this coming Saturday or Sunday.

Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL!

He used whole his guild for this. The mage tagged one of the mobs and then from 15-35 persons killed the mob. He had it planned from the start exactly how he was gonna lvl, where he was gonna go and which mobs to kill. He and the player who was first to hit lvl 60 (Cau) made up this plan.  So rly it was not the usual farming and questing it was just farming with help from a raid grp.

well he got to lev 70 in 28 hours cuz he has no life!! i mean any1 that goes more than a day without stopping has to be a loner or something. and the big question is: did he even stop to eat?

and for u guys who think this game wont last long well it wont for the ppl who play more than 14 hours a day but ppl who have jobs, family, school ect. it might be around for a while still i think. plus not all games last forever.

When I first read about it, I thought it was a fake. Turned out it was true. Have to give credit where credit is due. The guy and his guild planned it all out. It wasn't just the player, every member of the guild played an important part. An impressive example of teamwork and organization I'd say.

Still that's a lot of gaming in such a short time. Definitely not something I could do.

"No life" comments are the reason WoW has such a "discussed" community.

I'm not surprised really, you knew somewhere out there in the vast WoW Server Land someone would do this.  When EQ1 released its first expansion they raised the cap to 60.  Officially they said it would take longer to get from  51-60 than it did to get 1-50, steep curve considering EQ1 already had a steep curve at that time.   It was expected to be several weeks, if not months, for a 60 to pop up.  Well in 16 days on my server we had a 60 and that wasn't even the record (I believe was a Ranger in 11 days).

Doesn't matter if they made the level increase to 100, you would still see someone get there insanely quick.  These are the people that are going to burn through levels and then whine about how bored they are now.  The old expression "getting there is half the fun" really rings true with MMOGs.  If you level too fast, you miss out on a lot of fun.

You will see that many will reach 70 quiqly then gonne whine about no end game or boring after 70.

Then you see even when they make a world with millions things to do majorty only want lvl grind if that ends game over.

But this is to fast lvling pace there will come a time where many will moan so much wow will lose players very fast but maybe not ?......future will tell.

I know that some people will say here comes another WoW hater, and I am one of them, but not because it's popular or anything like that...I'll explain...

First off, I've been saying for a while now that the expansion lacks content for something they've been working on for as long as they did...And it does lack content from what I've heard and saw...It took almost the same time as it takes for a new game to come out, and still it doesn't add that much to the game...

WoW is the biggest game out there, I will not deny that from a business point of view it is the best game out there...The CEOs are making so much money, when other games are trying to survive the industry...

But 8 mill players doesn't mean that it is a great game, it means that it's a game that attracts a lot of people, and people aren't necessarily attracted only by great games...

WoW have probably the biggest percentage of players under 16 years old, which is bad for me, because of the fact that they sometimes ruin the gameplay of others, especially in pvp servers...But this is a game after all, and it is a game for all ages...

Imo, WoW is a good casual action adventure game, but it's far from being a great mmorpg, it's not even an rpg...RPG stands for Role Playing Game, and races, and the player base don't leave any space for RPGers, when someone tries to role play, the first thing u see pop up is: ''Go on an RP server''...But this is an RPG, so how come I can't RP on any server?

Another thing is that I am someone who likes complicated games, I like the challenge, and WoW offers no challenge whatsoever...When I started WoW, I played a warlock, soloed him up to lvl 40 in 11 days, and I knew no one in the game, had no help whatsoever, and I had no trouble at all to get there...

Variety is another thing WoW lacks, most zones look alike, colors may change, but everything comes back to the same thing. Also there are barely any races and classes compared to other games, which is imo a very weak part of WoW, because the fun of an mmorpg is to be able to play a lot of different characters and gameplay, which WoW doesn't offer...Equipement is all the same, not enough abilities added to equipement to change gameplay of a character...Quests have all the same basics, go kill a number of mobs, get a number of drops, deliver message....

So yes I do think that the latest expansion is a ripoff to make people buy the expansion by making them believe that they added new content when they added content that they could've just added through a patch that needed only a couple of days work...

But that is only my opinion, and these are the reasons why I don't play this game, which I define as a mediocre game, but which have awesome business value....

I honestly don't know if someone that argues about roleplaying in roleplaying game, when it's obvious that anyone remotely uninterested in RP shouldn't be playing an RPG, should be trusted with access to the Internet.

I dont see how someone got up to level 70. Anyways I dont see the point in getting up to the maximum level, because the game just  gets really boring. I just play slowly and enjoy myself thats how games should be played.
