SUGGESTION: Chance of winning should be tied to your posting rank (although that in itself is a crappy system), not your log-ins, which can be completely automated.

FIRST it took over **T**E**N** minutes to load the home page and then FIVE more minutes to get the list of those that won the DE beta slots!
Second it seems a conspiracy that this is like the third beta I have not goten a hit. It was totally agrivating in that 3000 slot beta to notice soooo many bogus email address / locations.
Third ?have previous beta account winners been barred from further wining in beta account participation.
Four sooo much for daily loging in over the last two months for my "5 chances" to win in each of the last three contest. Lets see 4000 slots, 35k mmorpg accounts so I gota wait for 9 contest to avg a 1 in 8 chance... ? are ALL 35,000 each also logging in daily so they also get their 5 chances to win?
Five the site drops my login so I have to retype even this response in email thread to even get it to post.. yea it's got to be a conspiracy against me with this site!!
Always those who really dont care about winning are the ones who do. Always. Notice out of the 10K who signed up, its been an hour and still they havent all been claimed.

We have caught people from being sneaky, creating multiple accounts to artificially inflate their odds of winning. Those people were disqualified.

As for the contest, the contest information is hosted on an entirely separate server. The only thing that was affected was the main page as people repeatedly bombarded it for information. If you entered our Live Chat you will notice we displayed the list of winners the instant it was up.
Now, let me be very clear on something:
All potential winners are e-mailed with a confirmation ticket at both their @mmorpg.com and their registered e-mail address for their account. E-mails were sent simultaneously and immediately - the first confirmed winner confirmed merely a couple of minutes after the list was up.
We do apologize to those people who did not win the Dragon Empires Beta Giveaway. There were thousands of participants. But hey, don't fret, you don't think we won't have more contests in the future do you?
On the flip-side: Congratulations to our winners!

rofl...i log in everyday and before i work in morning i read...and read and read. I won the beta contest and i have posted 2 times. Because someone doesnt post means monkey crap
I still beleive with a contest with only 20 winners, more tickets should have been sent out. Especially with the amount of Dedicated fans who signed up.
Im pretty sure we (mmorpg.com), are not the only ones running a contest for Dragon Empires.
I would also consider applying for a place in the beta from their main webiste.

I am not upset about not winning at all. I would like to say one thing though; If you do not post you should not even be signed up. What's the point of signing up to a site with forums if you never post. That's like getting a credit card that gives you frequent flier miles if you never fly. Pretty dumb if you ask me.

Yeah i'm new here and yeah i wanted to win.. i'v wanted to play this game for a very long time like your selfs.. but i'v been comeing to this site for a long time also...i was looking for a site with a list of games to play.. so i tooka chance and typed in www.mmorpg.com... sooooo much better then looking for a game useing yahoo
...then the other day i see a give away.. so i jumped at the chance .. but i knew i would not win .. i thought old members would win.. people who had the better odd's .. and that made me feel better.. but seeing how almost no hardcore site fan's won.. kind makes me upset.. i saw that i lost i said ohh well.. i got over it in 10 sec..but i'm sure that half the reason they put the give away up in the first place .. to bring new blood to the site.. and it worked..im not sad or upset.. but im glad i found a site with a 1000 other people with the same love for games as i my self have.

Bringing more tickets into play to win the 20 winning tickets wouldn't solve any problems, there are a lot of people unable to be there when the drawing time occurs, they shouldn't be robbed from their chance, it's like a roulette table betting on one number, face it: it's not exactly a safe bet.
I've been waiting for this game since I quit DAoC some 2 years ago, so yeah - I might feel that I should have gotten one of those beta accounts instead of one of those sobs likely to go play CoH in 10 days time anyway, but this is a contest - and lets face it, even a billionaire can win the lottery.
