The enemies of Sigmar, fear many things. You fear discovery, defeat, despair, and death. Yet there is one thing you fear above all others. You fear the wrath of THE SUTENVULF! Can't wait to kick yall's greenskin asses!

I'm sitting on the fence for this... I'll probably buy it.....but... currently engaged in Vanguard...and I rarely play 2 MMO's at the same time...

But since I don't see this coming out until next spring...probably not an issue....

As always, I'll be watching the Beta feedback very closely.  I do this for every new MMO.  I was interested in Vanguard, but listening to testers turned me off from it in the final days.  I'm following Lord of the Rings Online, but because of the NDA I have no clue if it'll offer a polished experience (I don't mind that it's very WoW-like).

As for WAR, if the Beta news is mostly good, I'll buy it on release.  If the previews are mixed, I'll wait a month for the reviews to come out.  Also, if there's a lot of talk about bugs and instability, I'll again wait a month or two.

    Seriously.

Honestly, I find that there are already mmos that have better PvE than WoW. This is my personal taste, but I find EQ2 to have better pve than WoW and even Vanguard might (have not actually tried it though). PVP is the only aspect where WoW still holds its ground, and that's only because daoc is outdated.

When I first played WoW, there were a lot of things that reminded me of daoc and of pretty much every other mmo before WoW. Once Mythic releases this and expands the rvr that they created, it's going to dethrone WoW. Even if the subscriptions do not decrease much at first, I'm definitely buying it for this reason.

I will not buy it up front :P If i get into beta or theres a trial at launch and i like it then i will.

I've learnt never to buy a game unless you can try a demo :)

I'm feeling pretty much the same way, I'm hoping to be one of the lucky few who make it into the beta so I can give the game a whirl and help with development pre-release.. but by the looks of things I wont get the chance haha. Still, the game looks fantastic and the RvR (recent video that was released) looks damn fun. We shall see though, one of the biggest concerns for me in MMO's these days are the variation between races and classes, WAR seems to be right on the ball. Vanguard might of had 15 or so races, but as every class was the same for every race it didn't leave much to the imagination, I love that each race in WAR has its own classes that are seemingly rather different (and lore driven) from the other races!

I've been following WAR since before Mythic took over developing it. I plan to get it unless Mythic horribly blows it. I don't see that happening though. DAoC had the smoothest release of any MMO I ever played Day 1. Mythic cares about their games and it will be no different here.

I will almost certainly buy it.

But...I may end up sacrificing the dev team to Khorne after I purchase it anyway!   An altar?  Wtf, where they stand is a perfect altar called: World.  Anywhere is fit for a sacrificial ceremonie to Khorne, and if they struggle, all the better!  And who need a ceremonie?  Let's just proceed to the sacrifice part!

I agree with Areel while I am amazingly hyped about this game, I will be following it very closely up until release to see whether it will meet my expectations, although at the moment I really cant see this game being bad, what with all the information having been released and the look of everything I really cant wait. Although certains aspects like how immersive and enjoyable I find the world itself (its esthetics) wont become clear to me until I see more of the game.

I enjoy very much looking at an amazing world as its part of the immersion factor. Holding off to see the Empire! Again though I cant help but think its going to be amazing. When I think its almost a year to go, it pains me to think how hard it will be to wait.

As a lore-junkie and avid Chaos-fan I couldn't vote for option two. Khorne is unlikely to fancy sacrifical pits: he does not have any sacred sites, except the battlefield. He doesn't want rituals and minions praying, he wants them to go out and kill. Only on the battlefield Khorne's vision can become real. Besides, if someone dies, even if it's Khornate he wins. He gets their blood and skulls as well. He's the God of Blood/Murder/War etc. You better change it into Tzeentch.

    Just a bit of fluff.

so far, WAR pvp looks like shit. Standing in one spot and clicking auto-attack, add to that huge floating icons above head and BIG bright neon colored explosions after every single melee/magic attack, and im ready to puke.

Maybe it will change for the better, but they would have to make pretty drastic changes for me to buy it.

Everyone has his own opinion, but I noticed something very surprising at a demo with the press; The press was cheering and screaming like little schoolboys if they get a balloon. Besides, you haven't played this game, so you can't see what they actually do or click. If you saw the first alpha-footage, you should see the new one, most, almost everything has been changed to what the players rather wanted it to be; alot sounds changed (not all though), 'neon'-colours got scrapped for the most part, except spells (but hey, what RPG doesn't has 'flashy spells' etc. etc.

I wouldn't have replied to you, if you didn't said that you're going to puke and it looks like 'shit', because that sounds rather immature to me. You could have said the same thing without using 'more or less' rude words. But well, if you don't like 'flashy' spells, then Fantasy-RPG's aren't really something for you.

I intend to. It looks like it will at least be fun for a while. Plus, the constant RvR sounds like a blast!

If I start advertising for Blizzard too, how much will they pay me?  And is the rate per post, or do I have to put in a quota of trolling posts over the period of a week?  Does being a WoW advertiser come with dential?

Haha coma, you are stupid.  Mythic is a great company and knows how to do MMO's.  DAOC was, imo, one of the best mmorpg's ever made.  If WAR comes even close to what DAOC was then its going to be amazing.  And no, WoW is not better and dont try and argue.

Most ppl would say the direct opposite.... imo PvP in WoW is nothing but a mindless grind, and World PvP is a joke.

I'll most likely pre-order it. That way, I'll probably be able to have a beta slot and hopefully mythic will do something like LOTRO is doing where you can get a lifetime subscription for $199 if you pre-order, I'd just prefer to get it out of the way rather than keep making new payments every few months.
