Well, Tonight is the 2nd night in a row I can't seem to do anything with this game. I was very hopefull that this emergency patch would fix a lot of issue I had with crossing chunks and getting kicked.
Seems like this emergency patch on prime time was an emergency nerf. Beta was more stable. Seriously. I really want this game to work out. I like it very much. It's on fire and heading nose down into the ground. They need to communicate a little bit more otherwise it's time to jump and take the last parachute.

EQ1 was a fluke. Right game at the right time. I don't think they have what it takes beyond world/lore creation to do another MMORPG.
They make interesting worlds, just can't figure out how to keep a customer informed, and destined to repeat the same mistakes EQ1 had, and improvise new ones!

I think they 'archived' the Sigil boards PRECISELY BECAUSE the changes they are making are destined to cause customer distress and this is one way of ignoring the issue.

Believe me, if they had them, I'd be there. I've said a lot of good for the game, and I stand by it. But there comes a time when "bitching" is justified. That time for me is tonight. My main is broke. My remaining alts looks are borked. I am getting random kicks back to character select about once every five minutes. The devs have posted they have no clue why this is happening and no ETA. So, in closing, if my bitching is annoying you, I guess that's your problem.
And for those of us who CAN play, we log in after a primetime emergency patch to find our characters useless. I'm also one of the people who stood by this game and against my better judgement bought it at release, KNOWING there would be connectivity issues, KNOWING there would be item loss and xp loss and all that jazz. I can accept all of that. I don't MIND paying for a beta test, I dutifully submit my /bug reports several times a day, trying to help make the game better.
But Sigil's priorities are out of line here. Now is the time to fix the issues that make the game unplayable. It isn't the time to bring down the servers during PRIME TIME to put in extreme class nerfs. It just wasn't necessary.

The complaint seems very specific if you ask me. These games are supposed to enjoyable. So far it seems there's more gameplay on the fansite forums. At least we can log into them.
Jeff Buttler had an interview on Gamespy. Why does it feel like with this latest patch it's 180 degrees from what he tooted? He must be too busy playing BC. Prime time emergency fix was nothing but a prime time nerf strike. Where was the emergency fix?
Hopefully Sigil actually visits the forums of the fan sites. I hope they are very aware of the number of complaint posts on these sites. By not having their own forums, they're not getting direct customer feedback. That leads to them doing stupid things that the players don't like or want.
The thread titles in the "bitching" posts are usually pretty self explanatory. If you don't want to read them, don't click them. It's really not complicated.

I agree. SoE/Sigil has archived the Vanguard forums and ushered everyone off to the fansites. I submit my /bug reports like a good beta tester ( oh wait...) but the only real way to get an idea of community feed back and see if others are having the same issues is on the boards. Especially since in-game chat functionality is wonky at best, assuming you can connect at all.

If you could take your lips off Sigil's ass long enough, you'd get a clue that maybe, just maybe, they're not perfect, and that it's okay to talk about the bad along with the good. I'll tell you what....you pay my $14.99 a month, and I'll STFU. Until then, why don't you take you're own advice? The way I see it, whining is when you bitch for no reason. My character is broke...I have a reason. You're just bitching to hear yourself bitch. Now who's the whiner?

you are not doing what the devs asked you to do, the devs asked to post on AFFILIATED sites, mmorpg.com is not a affiliated site with vanguard dude. not bitching just stating the obvious.
Personally i enjoy reading the negative comments cuz 2 thirds of them seem to be completely made up or way over exxagerated by some die hard haters. It obvious the game needs some work still but it is not anywhere near as bad as some people complain it is. There have been far worse mmo's released thats been more buggy than vanguard. One of them even went on to have 8 million subscribers.
