So what are the chances I can run Vanguard on this system (in the process of getting it)

    Dell XPS System

    P4 2.8 Ghz (w/800 Mhz FSB)

    1.5 GB DDR RAM

    80 GB HD

128 MB ATI Radeon 9800 Pro AGP

    Audigy 2 Soundcard

    Windows Vista OS

Honest thoughts on how this game will run with this system appreciated!  Many thanks folks.

I first ran VG on my desktop compie, which has that same video card and processor...  I had less memory though and windows xp.  The game ran but I got a lot of lag when entering inter-city buildings.  I always got an error about my memory too, but I only had like 770 mb of memory so hopefully you wont have as much problems there

    AMD 64 3000

    2 GB 400Mhz DDR RAM

    WD Raptor SATA HD

    ATI X1950 Pro PCI-E

    Audigy 2

    Win XP w/ SP2

At 1280x1024 and high quality settings, 30-40 fps most of the time. It will dip down to 22-24 in really busy city areas. All in all, not bad, though.

First, please don't buy Dell (I live 10 minutes away...)

Go here for computer needs :) http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/

Have two of these for the game and will pass on FPS soon once the patching is done. Right now it is just too early to really determine what will be needed. I agree with a couple up above me, that at LEAST 2MB of ram is needed here if not 4!. anything less will cause heartache.
